Hard to believe - I never had any problem with my cat !

....this might be the reason that there was only one post from my side in this forum !
MY21 EV 400 - now 69.000 km on the road - met my dealer only for the periodical
checks and for changing to winter wheels in November. At 60.000 km the battery
was tested by ADAC in Germany with a health lever of 95 percent !
I charge whenever possible over night at home with 11 kWh - DC charging with 50 or
100 kWh does not count for more than 10 percent.
So there is really nothing I can contribute to the current discussions !

On the contrary, thankyou, it’s good to hear of problem-free experiences here! It’s a refreshing change from posts on law suits!

I will add my voice, outside of the wire harness fix this has been one of the best experiences I have had with a car, both in terms of issues and likability. I am purposefully excluding the iffy infotainment because I knew that going in.

In fact I would not give up the car after six years, which is unusual for me.

Happy to report that my experience mirrors those of others on this post. Outside of the 12V batteries, that were replaced under warranty by the dealer, I have had no serious issues and love my Electra. I was hoping to keep it till the next breakthrough in battery technology but this forced buyback has me hunting for an alternate way ahead of schedule. And sadly I have been unable to find anything that scratches all my itches like this cat did. The only thing that comes even close in terms of price/performance/aesthetics for me is the Polestar 3, but that still has an immature software platform riddled with bugs and missing features. Really annoyed that JLR is not giving us the option of just replacing the battery pack.

Is this in the US/CA that owners are compelled to return their cars to Jaguar? I had my batterypack replaced. It drives fine. I'm actually thinking of getting another one has they are bound to become a collectors item..

Same problem free story here (MY2021). I recently checked what other car/make would tick all the boxes - the list turned out pretty empty. So, I'm glad this experience has been without major hickups so far and am looking forward to some more miles and years.
Unfortunately, this forum has become a 'buyback / how-to-get-rid-of-the-car' forum. I understand that for those bitten by the buyback this is a major topic, but not for me. I rarely visit this forum anymore for this very reason.

We bought a 2020 HSE with 9K in 2023, now 21k. Only issue I've experienced is the 12v batteries, replaced under warranty and front tires as they were faulty, crumbling tread, which Goodyear refused to acknowledge.

Just turned 59,000 miles on my 2020. (2) Aux batteries, (1) starter battery, and a set of tires are all I’ve put into it. Hope it doesn’t hear me typing this :) . Haven‘t paid anything for regular scheduled service, as the PO bought a transferable service plan. I can charge at work for free, so the most I’ve spent on home charging is ~$30 one cold month, but most months are around $15. Glad to see other positive experiences!

10000 flawless service free miles on the 2024. We were lucky for 14 years with our LR3, hoping to repeat.

I've had my MY2020 for a year now. I'm in the UK. It has had some problems but they were all resolved relatively painlessly under the approved used warranty cover with a courtesy car provided.

Things that broke on my cat:
  • At purchase: Stand off at collection with the dealer as promised software updates hadn't been done. TCU wasn't functioning and wheel air deflectors were detaching from car. Refused to accept vehicle unless fixed. Dealer software update fixed the TCU and air deflectors were fixed according to TSB JLRTB02043NAS2. Two day wait.
  • 2 months after purchase: 12V batteries failed, towed to dealership for replacement. 2 weeks at dealership.
  • 4 months after purchase: Air con failed, the well known cracked weld issue. 3 weeks at dealership.
  • 1 year after purchase: Traction battery module failure (H441), charging limited to 72%. One module replaced under warranty, amazingly only 1 week at dealership.
  • Yearly inspection noted play in offside front wheel steering. Lower control arm replaced, two weeks at dealership.
Hopefully that will be it for a while. It's also just been in for the 6 year/63,000 mile service (early at 54k as the previous owner had the 42k service done at only 33k). I'll defintely be extending the warranty.
