Just found this on my Topix account. It says to: You are advised to Contact your local Jaguar Land Rover to arrange for the necessary rectification work.

& No, I did not make a mistake in spelling Overload in the header!

It is interesting that the software update does not work in the US, is that due to the imperial system?:)

And:
"Customers should also limit their charge to a maximum of 80% until the
recall remedy has been completed."

Then they should come with a software update where we can set the limit.

Thanks for sharing!

Does anyone know if there are physical / mechanical differences between 2019 and 2020 cars? I’m wondering whether my 2020 is, in reality, still at risk for this thermal overload issue - but being that more 2019s were sold than 2020s, and that the 2020 batteries are obviously newer and maybe haven’t started experiencing this yet, that there just haven’t been enough instances for JLR to confirm / expand the buyback program - or at least not yet. Or is there actually something different about MY2020 cars?

Also - is the current buyback program limited only to cars in California?

Curious what the odds are that is east coast folks with MY 2020s might a) still be at risk and b) eventually receive a buyback offer

…fwiw, we have been very happy with our ipace and experienced only 12v issues and continue to enjoy the car. Having said that, I’d definitely consider a buyback offer, if nothing else only to buy a newer ipace

Once again: H514 is for all 2019 cars in the US except H484 cars (although some of those have become victims too). The state of purchase or residence does not matter.

You and others can speculate all you want about why only 2019s in US are victims of this recall. It isn't of value to owners of US 2019s. You won't get definite answers until/unless JLR publicly releases information.

Tonight while waiting for a food order I looked at my vehicle BECS software page, and noted the the first 2 numbers have change from BY to what looks like an X with a box around it. Or an hourglass. Strange that I had a mysterious 12V battery failure this week that magically healed itself later. I have now disconnected my TCU.

Waiting for the tariff situation to stabilize (I own a company in Canada making scientific equipment and may need to take a haircut as I adapt to the US doing a lot less science), but am looking at the Macan 4S. I had an RX450h before the I-Pace, so this moves me back to a more SUV shape and it still has real buttons for some of the functions (I really hate the tablet hot-glued to the dash look).

I received my call from Jaguar NA today, officially starting the buy-back process. From today, I'm told it will take 30-45 days to complete. It so-happens that I also met with an attorney today. He believes - should it come to it - that we may have a case against Jaguar for breach of contract (warranty). That said, does anyone have a copy of the 2019 warranty they could upload here? Thanks!!
