California's is for the length of the warranty--which Im presuming since the battery has a 7 year warranty, all 2019's are still under the california lemon law.Here is a list of lemon laws by state. Lemon laws should apply if this is handled the same way as the Bolt recall.

As an example the statue of limitations for my home state of TN is the later of 1 year after delivery or 6 months after the expiration of the warranty. The remedy is full purchase price minus a use allowance not to exceed 50% of the IRS per mile depreciation rate.

For most owners there is fundamentally nothing wrong with their battery, it's just that a small proportion of the batteries may "go up in flames" at some future time and JLR has no way of knowing which batteries those will be - thus for most owners there is nothing inherently wrong with the battery that would trigger a warranty claim.
[If you doubt that logic, note that >70k vehicles have been sold (~3k 2019's in the US) and how many have actually caught fire? Maybe a couple of handfuls worldwide]
Thus, my comment that the battery warranty for >70%capacity over 8yrs is probably legally irrelevant to a lemon law claim.
I've asked this before, but will ask again: How did CA's lemon laws apply to the monstrous air bag recall a few yrs back. Were owners out of warranty able to get full buy backs including registration, interest etc?

Their adjusters have determined that the financial risk due to these issues is great enough to resolve them in some way. Ofcourse, they're just looking at the cheapest ways of handling the issue as they can't [literally] afford bad press to their already hemorrhaging brand.
With the complications I've had, I'm completely soured on Jaguar, EVs and driving. And I love to drive. The loaner I have right now is almost the exact same F-Pace S I had previous to the I-
POS, and it's only exacerbated the feelings. I already have high anxiety and the situation has made me lose sleep. Not saying that's everyone's predicament, but a lot of threads I've read show ppl not even worried about the range... After 4.5 years, range anxiety is still very real as [no hyperbole, here] I have to shave off 45+ miles to ANY one-way trip I take due to range inadequacy. Most times I have to travel to that Jag (my sister also loves here) I don't use the ac, pop on "bS eco mode" and hold my breathe (I live in FL, btw); on the way home, drive the whole way back in low-power mode and get home on literal electric fumes. Full charge of 226mi... Apx trip of 134mi and I arrive home dry to the bone. Now, at reduced battery, I can not make this trip without an out-of-the-way stop to a station that may be operational. If you doubt the integrity of this example I'll document the entire trip for you next time I HAVE TO take it... as my car is almost out of shop.
Sorry to sound negative, but this is a trash scenario and a complete let down. Jag could have handled everything better imo. Been dealing with these issues for 5 months and didn't have ANY CLUE the severity of it until I found this forum and started looking into it this passed Monday.
