If anyone figures out how to add the 360 camera, I have money for you.
So I have this condition to when I get something in my head I can't let it go until I answer if its doable or not. Well anything is doable because they made the I-paces interact with Waymo.
At anyrate, I pulled up the rear seat and support to look for the surround camera module harness. Nothing is there. It looks like the rear camera cable runs up to the infotainment module. So is it doable, yes, is it a lot of work and money, also yes.
I suspect L-R retro fits add the cameras and run all the fakra cables to the surround module then just wire it into the network and program it. That would take 2 mirrors, a grille and camera, a module and cables and connectors.
On a second note, the passenger seat motors have potentiometers on them like a track with memory and it uses a module. However, I pulled the passenger door panel tonight and did not see any taped backed unused connectors. I am assuming either a memory switch and pigtail or new door harness would get the basics but not for sure if the modules are different for memory or not. I will have to investigate that more. If I knew it would work, I have a 19 model that is about to meet its maker this week, I would do a swap.
One last thing I am looking into, but like the memory seat, I think I know the answer. The 2019-2022 with blind spot protection had the clear to exit led on the rear door handles. I wonder if that could be something I could add back. Again, I do not know if the harness is prepped or not.
So as of right now, clear sight mirror is ordered and my first priority. I will update as I go along.
Any input Ayepace?
