New to the forum and new to the space of EV's we're in at the moment which is only starting. Exciting times for the automotive industry and for us. I just hope that this EV delivers enough to rival the likes of Tesla.

Having seen and drove the Model S, i'm a bit sold on going Tesla anything and they apparently have yet anther CUV set to release. What's everyones take here on Jaguar's EV efforts vs Tesla? Should I just jump at a Tesla or keep holding on to my dollars?

Hi Ted, welcome in the group.
There is so much models coming in short time that I decide to wait one year and see.
Jaguar IPace is so unique in the style and price should match my budget (hope). Audi Etron Quattro is also a prospect in the balance.
As you said it is an exiting time for EV.

I drove a Tesla S almost 3 years ago. Glad for the experience but I was not ready and wanted a smaller vehicle. Sat with a deposit for one year with the Model 3 before I canceled. I didn't feel I canceled a chance in a life time, sat around #299000 on April 2 2016. Once the 3 is up and running there will be plenty. Now I'm very interested in the I-Pace and even Mercedes if they get it going. Many opportunities by 2020 and sooner.

If you're willing to wait a bit, there will be plenty of opportunities to get a nice EV. Of course I may be biased with the I-Pace, but other manufacturers are coming out with their own.

as for Tesla, well they aren't really known for delivering cars on time and delays are to be expected.

I'm window shopping as well, especially with the race between the Audi E-Tron and I-Pace. They may be racing each other to the market, but I'm patient and can wait to see which is the better model.

I heard that it will be using a platform unique to its own and won't be share with anything else they have right now. But I have a good feeling we will be seeing some design that relates to the upcoming A-Class sedan.
