If only that charging pause in WattCat would work. I think I saw it work once when I manually paused charging, but hasn't worked automatically.

My wife relayed a story from her joyriding in the I-Pace with my daughter yesterday. She said another car was following them and moving around the I-Pace as they were driving and then proceeded to follow them into the small shopping center they pulled into and stopped right behind where they parked. 
As my wife got out of the car, the younger man in the car that pulled up behind the I-Pace said "Honey bear, that is a sweet car. What is it? I only see Jaguar, but no model name!" She explained it was her husband's car and is an electric I-Pace and told him about the options it came with (black trim/wheels) and the modifications I made (red calipers, model name removal, black leaping cat and jaguar emblem on the rear). He said it was now a "black panther" and he just couldn't say enough about how terrific it looked. He was excited to hear how fast it was. He said he was floored how quiet it was while driving and he was expecting to hear the engine roar. He made my wife promise to tell me what a great car I have and then left to go back to his day.
She's an attention grabber, that's for sure, and is an unusual and impressive site when you see it! Too bad Jaguar hasn't done a better job promoting such a great car, but I don't mind the exclusive nature of being an I-Pace owner. It's a fine line though. Jaguar needs to sell enough of them to keep building more and servicing mine for years to come. The longer I have this car, the less I miss the Mustang Mach E reservation I gave up!

Technically not today (okay, it was a week ago), but I finally got some pictures taken. I got XPEL film on the full front (side view mirrors and everything in front of them) and rockers (along the bottom of the sides), put tinting on the front-side windows to match the rear-side windows, and ceramic coated the whole car.
In preparation for getting the above done, I bought and painted a replacement jumping kitty black for the rear of the car. Prior to the ceramic coating, they removed the existing chrome kitty and replaced it with the black one.
And with shameless self promotion, I provide the results in pictures! Hard to believe kitty could look any better, but she just might after all that paint protection!

Called 1-800-4JAGUAR to see if I can expedite my key-fob replacement. I was given the wrong one when I bought the car at the end of May. Two dealerships say replacements are on backorder with no availability timing. I talked to a gentleman at Jaguar USA who took my information and gave me a "case number". Presumably, a case manager will review my request and see what can be done to help me. He said I should hear something next week. Keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞
Update: I just checked JaguarParts.com (hadn't done it before for some reason) and it seemed like the replacement key-fob was available! I called them to verify. The gentleman said they get it from the Jaguar warehouse and it needs to be tied to the VIN and they don't keep it in stock. I asked if the Jaguar warehouse had them in stock and he said he would check. After a few minutes on hold, he came back on the line and said YES, they are in stock at the Jaguar warehouse! He also added that the "backorder" status on the order from my local dealer may NEVER UPDATE. He suggested my dealer should cancel that order and place a new one and the order should go through!
Too late to get my service advisor today. Monday morning call to him will hopefully get things moving.
