I saw this on the UK forum and gave it a try -

If you bring the fader back just a few notches to the rear, the sound becomes significantly better. The bass deepens and the sub is more pronounced. The sound seems to be more detailed with better separation this way as well.

I have no idea why this would work, but it definitely does!

I have the Meridian as I have an FE.

Low frequencies travel farther for the some amount of power. By shifting the sound farther towards the back of the car you're effectively boosting the bass, leaving the mids at center, and dropping the treble on the EQ from the perspective of someone in the front of the car.
