My stereo started my morning with a Spanish Language FM station (93.9?). I don't use the FM setting. It happened when I dropped the car at the dealer a couple weeks ago, and I thought they did it. Apparently it's a bug.

The Jaguar iPhone Remote App went into an infinite loop asking me to Configure Notifications. I had to delete the app and reload it and it remembered everything once I entered the User and PW.

Minimally, always tune your FM radio to a station that won't make you want to crash on purpose - just in case! You never know when your car will run back to radio and the last thing you want is for some (pick your personal poison: RAP, Country, Scream Rock, Religious) station to pop on when you're too busy to diagnose what happened.

I've noticed that driver and passenger cannot have different HVAC fan speeds (pull up on rotary dials)? When one is changed, the other changes to match. Is this by design or software bug? Why offer 2 controls if they must remain identical? At first I confirmed that the temps can vary but fan speed not. However, after really playing around with it, I couldn't even get the temps to be different without them reverting to match after a few seconds. (I haven't tried the rear dials to see if these quirks exist for the rear passengers, but I did notice on the Climate menu you can "lock" the rear HVAC controls - good feature with kids!)

Do you by any chance have the "Sync" soft touch key on the lower touchscreen activated? That syncs both front and rear passenger climate settings to the driver settings.

I had this problem with the controls where sync was pressed and rear seat would take control of their fan speed which understandably turns off sync. However when sync was off the rear fan control was changing the front seat controls to change based on what rear seat passenter was doing. I was about to kill my kids. Software was updated and reinstalled for infotainment and this restored touch screens operation which was out and as well corrected the rear seats overriding the front seat fan control. Kid's lives spared lol.

whilst on the topic, does anybody out there use the 'smart climate' feature? I do, as the vast majority of the time, I'm solo in the car. When the 'smart climate' is ON, and the front passenger's seat is empty, the passenger's climate control knob displays the smart climate symbol rather than a temperature setting. Makes sense. But, I noticed that with the rear seats also unoccupied and 'smart climate' turned on, both of the rear control knobs display a temperature, rather than the smart climate symbol, suggesting that the rear seat climate controls remain operational. Anybody have any thoughts/ similar experience?

Had the car exactly one week; only about 100 miles on it as we are waiting for the clear bra to be put on next Tuesday. AZ is terrible for rock, dirt and gravel flying on freeways.
Besides all the usual and normal quirks that everyone is having something new happened.
Started (booted) the car yesterday and no HUD display. Also, no HUD menu in the drivers menu; no HUD menu at all! Like I don't even have the option.
This morning couldn't sleep all pissed off about all the problems i'm having with this new car. I find that fuse 26 in the passenger fuse box located under the rear seat controls the HUD.
I pull the 10 amp fuse, nothing wrong with it, put it back in. Put back seat together. Started (booted) car and behold HUD menu is back. but HUD is not enabled (check box in menu) and all previous HUD settings have been disabled.
This seems to indicate that the HUD needed a complete lack of power (pulled fuse) to 'reboot' itself.

Ok this is starting to really indicate some lack of QC in software development of control system design. I mean to have to do a power cycle for a system to be restored. I wonder how much of this stuff is rooted in the Windows embedded design and the choice to use it. It also explains the lag in response that the entire UI shows.

Welllll, this is starting to freak me out... Just signed my paperwork yesterday and the car is supposed to be here in a week.. Now worried I made the wrong choice and bought a car that is destined to be a failure... We keep saying Jaguar will fix this with updates but let's not forget this same system has been in the Velar for over a year. Are they all having the same issues??

...did we all just buy overpriced cars from an underfunded company?

#sgtpeper, keep in mind the extremely small sample size reporting here, the human propensity to whine vs. gloat, and that these are, for the most part, minimally disruptive problems. You're just hearing all the sh*t without experiencing the awesomeness of the car. Drive it for a week and you'll feel differently.:grin2:

I certainly hope so, dtgsrq...

However, I have yet to see anyone who has owned the car for a decent amount of time say they haven't had any issues. Everyone who says they haven't seems to have only owned the car for a week or so..

Overpriced cars from an underfunded company = Tesla
Many of my colleagues have Teslas and the amount of things that I hear during a casual discussions is astonishing, let alone what is visible on YouTube.

I have had my I-Pace for around 1 month now, i had the black screen issue which most had but that has been fixed. Again some of these bugs and fixes are dependent on Europe / North America models as there likely is some minor differences in the EU contra NA softwares and hardware.

Nonetheless things will happen with any car out there, but when I go to a service point then being in Jaguar LR hands makes me much more confident then if I would be leaving my car at a Tesla point.

Try looking at the UK and the US forums for the topic "Problems since delivery or trouble free?"
Quite a few longish term owners have posted with no problems. Also keep in mind that over 3,500 iPaces have been delivered in the Netherlands alone, with almost as many in Norway, the UK and elsewheer in Europe, and only literally a TINY proportion of these owners have reported issues on the forums. That is not to say that there aren't more out there who are not using the forums to get advice for their issues, but rest assured, if the majority of owners who have had cars delivered to date were complaining, we would know about it. For the record, my own dealer in central London claims to have delivered more iPaces than all the other UK dealers put together - whether this is true or not I don't know, but that's what they say - and according to them only a handful have come back with issues, and all of those have been software related, with almost all of those having now been cured by the most recent updates. In my experience it is an absolutely terrific vehicle but then I am in the category of not having owned mine for that long.

So keep in mind - it’s like “whining” about your kids - you still love them- but it’s nice to have a place to go to share you experiences, issues, and fixes!

Its also somewhat reassuring to know when people have similar problems and how they have been resolved. So a forum like this can really be helpful- IF you don’t over react.

Overall the car has been great- but problems will come up. While the people at my dealership have been nice, they’re level of knowledge on the product just isn’t there yet, so other owners are just going to be the best source of help (and understanding).

@sgtpeper I have had mine for 45 days and the car has worked almost perfectly except the tiny annoying software things They do NOT detract at all with my overall love of the car. Honestly it is one of the best cars and definitely the MOST fun car to drive I have ever owned.

Are there small software annoyances, yes, but as others have said I am confident they will be worked out, and honestly even if they do not it is still the MOST fun car I have ever had.

Thanks all.

Just a bit nervous to take this leap. Since I'm a realtor, and I will be using this car for clients, I'm just nervous about loosing nav and other things that I rely on daily.

I'm still excited for the car to get here. Just hoping I got one of the lucky ones!

You can always use android or apple carplay and feed google maps into the car's screens.
If my experience is anything to go by, you will love the car.....and your clients will be dead impressed.
