Looks like you can basically order an of the three trim lines identically, with only two exceptions - the S only comes with the non-folding side mirrors, and the S only comes without Connected Navigation. Other than that, what am I missing? I don't see any difference between the SE and HSE other than what comes standard. It seems like if you're getting it pretty fully loaded, you don't gain anything by choosing the lower trim lines.

Can anyone educate me on this? Thanks!

I haven't gone through every possible feature, but it looks like the higher you go in the features, the better price you get for higher trims. An FE is less expensive than an equivalently decked-out HSE. However, some options are available only on the non-FE, like sport seats.

I managed to get an S to 99,895.00 MSRP.
An HSE with everything is 98,030.00.

Yes, if you want a hardtop, you need to start with the lower trim level and option it up from there.

I hate glass roofs myself. But the First Edition is sort of a bargain package that comes with all the goodies, so I will put up with it.

It appears the FE might be the first units shipped.

To me, if you don't want larger wheels, I don't see how any trim level other than S is the best price. First Edition is only a bargain if you were going to spend thousands on larger wheels. But you give up the option to have the brown interior so I can't go with FE anyway, personally.

And sorry but you guys are wrong on the roof. "S" standard feature: Fixed panoramic roof :( I too don't love too much light in the cabin and wouldn't have chosen this. Hopefully they offer a good shade for it.

I think 5280 is right. I find no options available anywhere for the roof - fixed panoramic is it. I'd have gone with a metal roof if it were offered.

I also did not want big wheels, so started with the I-Pace S, and added all the options I wanted.

It does seem like the S, SE, HSE packages setup is more complicated than it needs to be. I guess Jaguar figures the complicated packaging will trick some of us into purchasing more options than we really want. I can't see any other advantage...

None of the reviews so far mentioned any discomfort from the sun. If all else fails, just do a vinyl wrap on the roof. Body color or black. Or a Union Jack.

First editions should ship soonest. There are many little, medium, and big options included. Wheels are only a part of the package. 20" is probably the way to go for the ride/performance balance. 18" for the straight-line crew.

Interestingly, in my truck, I fold the mirrors daily when driving on our narrow country road. An extra 8" of clearance is a big deal.

After pricing the S and SE the way I want them, I found the SE to be about $1k cheaper...
Now, how long until I can see/touch one..? Near Harrisburg, PA.
Need to get my test drive on.

It appears that neither of these is an exception - the S can have both of these features, and I ordered my I-Pace S with both:

- Power folding side mirrors are part of a $360 option under 'Exterior Features'
- Navigation Pro and Connect Pro packages are identical and standard at no extra cost in all three trim levels: S, SE, and HSE

This info is from the buildyour.jaguar site and the jaguarusa.com I-Pace brochure. Are you seeing something different?

Similar here, I build a SE and then a HSE the way I want them. Came up $3K CAD more expensive for the HSE but way more goodies included.
I don't think so. I think you can basically equip an S the same as an SE or HSE and it'll always be cheaper unless you're upgrading wheels. If you don't want bigger wheels, it LOOKS LIKE S is the way to go to save some money.
