Just an FYI that I was told by a reliable source that the next ship is due in to port on November 20th. Still don’t know if my car is on this ship, or not (but, I am trying to find out).

Yes. Keep your fingers crossed that these next shipments don’t have faulty sensors. Our car is still at the port with no updates from the dealer in the last 8 days (car arrived on 11/27).
I still don't get why sensors are checked in Port Hueneme California, rather than at the factory in Graz where they could be repaired/replaced promptly. Seems crazy.

They may have been, they may do final QA and updates AFTER shipping as things may happen during shipping. And I wonder if this gives them more of a chance to apply any latest/greatest updates or TSBs before delivery as shipping takes a while.

I would assume the port guys are in direct contact with the factory and have a script of checks to make based on issues discovered on other vehicles after departing from the factory.
Best to have as much checked as possible. Dealer should just detail the car and do a basic safety check.

With any luck mine is in port getting the same treatment.

If sensors are damaged while the car is shipped, driven just a few yards under its own power (if at all), and being handled with kid gloves all the way, I imagine they would explode into a million pieces when I actually start driving the damned thing. How can a car be that fragile during shipping, and be ready for high speeds and off-roading after shipment? Still sounds insane!
Been tracking my ship, and the dumb thing slowed to 1.5 knots for the last 24 hours ... ?!! It's still 60 miles short ... and barely moving?!!!! Gaaaahhhhh!!!!

You know the old saying: a watched ship never docks...
Well, it seems to have made it THIS morning (a day late). :)

(Do they work on Sundays?)
Purrdy our 2020 HSE order is purported to be on the Faust (yikes) currently off the cost of the Bahamas. So it will come through the Panama Canal to Port Hueneme?

Yes, that is the typical route. Usually it takes about 4 to 6 weeks from the time it ships, but can take much longer depending upon weather and other shipping traffic. No current storm activity in the Gulf, so stay positive.

Thanks for the feedback. Timing works well for us as no big hurry. I see Port Hueneme from left traffic pattern into Oxnard KOXR. Dealer is straight east from Hueneme so Purrdy will roll right past us on the 118 headed to the dealer. I'll keep an eye out once the Faust docks. :nerd:

My wife has downloaded the ship tracker :nerd: and this morning Faust looks to be transiting Panama and predicts Hueneme by end of the month. Purrdy will replace her C-Max Energi, looking like sooner than later :smile2:

I regret purchasing as I didn't consider devaluation of EVs and Jaguar in particular. If I had a do over, I would lease.

We Ordered Purrdy mid May from the 2019 order information for my Wife. Purrdy is a Fuji White 2020 HSE with a Light Oyster Interior.
We opted for the Performance Widsor Seats after test sitting them and the standard Sport seat at Jaguar Electrifies events. Opted for and looking forward to having seat memory again as I’m a foot taller than my wife and can’t swing my knees past the underdash knee bolster on most cars to get in without first moving the seat back. A handy option on slow power seats. Opted for the HUD display, Activity Key, Aluminum Trim, Black Exterior pack and Cabin air Ionizer. Also the Heated Steering wheel (a favorite option on our Bolt). Have had a BEV for 10 years now but looking forward to the I-Pace.

Order estimated mid August turnover date. We will purchase, but that is not financial advice :wink2:
