I’m growing desperately impatient waiting for mine and the delivery date has slipped to late December. It will be a comfort to know when someone in North America actually receives one. Please chime in!

Import duty depends upon the country of manufacture, and in the case of the I-Pace it is Austria and the duty is 6.1%. If I were to import the I-Pace from a USA dealer I would pay the same duty based upon the country of manufacture. I would also pay fees to a customs broker who would wrangle the paperwork. But I would still save about $6,000.

I can't import an I-Pace from a US dealer due to the contractual obligations of dealers to not sell to foreigners. :(

My best bet would be to pay a trustworthy person in New Hampshire (where there is no sales tax) to buy the car and then meet me across the street and sell it to me as a used car for a modest profit.

Alas, this plan assumes that there are trustworthy people in New Hampshire :D

I ordered my car from a dealer in the UK on 2nd July. I was informed at the time that delivery would be expected as late as January 22 - hopefully. (My previous order with Tusker apparently hadn't been made so I had already wasted 2 months). A few weeks ago I was contacted by the dealer apologising and explaining that the HUD would not be available - I had the options to go without, wait an unknown time for the HUD to be available again or cancel the order. I decided to go ahead but to be quite honest I'm not holding out much hope for January - does anyone know if any iPace cars are being built at the moment? One of my friends has been waiting since May for a second Key for her Jaguar ePace - the dealer has the key shell but can not get the electronic components and has no lead time at present!

Ordered my 2022 i-Pace in June for November 21 delivery. Was just told today that delivery has been pushed back until March 2022! Salesman also confirmed the HUD and some other features are not likely to be available and a “credit” will be issued. I didn’t want to order off the lot, but I might just do that since I am not likely to get the car I ordered anyway. Just how long does it take to build a new chip factory?

I just picked up my MY22 in NorCal. Ordered in June, was delayed a few times, but finally arrived a few days ago.

Looks like I ordered it just in time before they scrapped options like HUD and 360, and two keys hah. I pretty much got it fully loaded, as seen on the spec sheet below.

It is replacing an E-Pace, and will cuddle up with my F-Type on cold nights.

That sticker price is definitely lower than most of us paid back in 2019. Allowing for the $7500 tax credit that's a real price of $62k. While I don't like to pay more than the next buyer, back in 2019 I felt the FE was a $70k vehicle compared to comparable ICE's, and that's effectively what I paid.
Congrats to owners of MY22 I-Paces you are getting a great deal - of course, I got free rubber mats, digital tire pressure gauge, luggage area storage container and a few other goodies and a big white bow.🙂 [Oh, and photon red paint and the FE badging. 🙂]

So I’ve seen it mentioned online that the 2022s no longer have steering assist. But at the same time I haven’t seen it mentioned in Jaguar website. Came someone with a 22 verify if there is steering assist as well as lane keep assist on 22 I paces in the US? European terminology may be different.

I ordered a MY22 I-Pace in August, 2021. Although I ordered steering assist (and surround cameras), the order came back and excluded steering assist and had no surround cameras! That car was to be delivered Christmas Eve.

As a result, I found an earlier MY22 build with the cameras and steering assist, took delivery in September and have enjoyed it immensely.

You should contact your local Jaguar dealer and ask what the current situation is.

So to dig into the weeds a little. This my current understanding.

The surround camera was standard on 2019-20 HSE and 19 FE models and available an option on other trims. For 2022 the surround camera is a stand alone option or included in the park assist pack.

In the US lane keep assist (LKA) and steering assist are used interchangeably is seems by Jaguar, and in European literature they use both separately. Terribly confusing.

I asked the Jaguar dealer about these questions. They said yes, all US 2022 models come with steering assist. But I don’t trust the dealer because they also did not understand adaptive dynamics. I feel I know more about the car than the dealer. Lol.

Lane keep assist and steering assist are indeed two separate things.
Lane keep assist yells at you when the car is drifting over the line and may even try to correct it to some degree. But it won’t take a curve. And in most cases it will just keep you from ramming into a car next to you. Otherwise you are steering the car. It will do this regardless if cruise is on or not.
Steering assist actively drives the car and tries to maintain the middle of the lane and only yells at you if it thinks you aren’t paying attention. So it is steering with your hands on the wheel. This only happens in cruise.

my 22 has both. While both are supposed to be standard now in 22 (only both standard on hse 20 minus) parts may have changed that.

perfect! Exactly the answer I was looking for.

I have my eye on two MY22s coming into local dealers. But I keep searching for an exceptional deal on used ones. Both vehicles seems to be stuck at port with no idea of when they will arrive. Wanted to make sure about the steering assist.

Hello everyone. I'm kind of new in these forums. I put an reserve at the end October 21 the car arrived in 26 November and finally last Tuesday at my garage. These cars are made in Austria and the had another lock down.
Very happy with my new cat🐱
Surprisingly quick. I'd made some inquiries at about the time that you ordered and dealers were guessing between Jan and May of '22 (which I interpreted to mean between May and August of '22).
