Has anyone taken the $4,000 plunge with the Quasar DC charger?
For charging, I don't think it offers any benefits over a regular L2 32amp 240V charger since they both max out at a little over 7kw. However, since the Quasar is a DC charger they also made it bidirectional, meaning your car can become part of a DC power system that could power portions of your house during a power outage (like a Tesla Power Wall).
I'm not ready to fork over the money until I get serious about solar power at my farm. I live out in the country, so power outages take a while to get fixed. But, I'd love to hear from someone else taking the plunge with the Wallbox Quasar.
