I never noticed the Park Assist Auto-Search icon until recently. It's the blue "P" icon on the instrument cluster. The manual says it displays on the instrument panel when the vehicle is driven under 18 MPH. My question is, since I've never noticed it before did I somehow turn this feature on or is it just on by default? Thanks.

I think it's always on. I asked my Jaguar Concierge when he visited me after a week of ownership, and even he didn't know what it was. It disappears at driving speeds, so many miss it. I found details in the manual. Arrow appears on left or right to indicate where parking spot is available. I almost never have opportunity to parallel park so I haven't yet had the chance to try the automatic parking.
You can turn it off in the instrument panel settings ... I can check tomorrow if you can't find it.

It does both parallel and perpendicular parking. It will back into a parking spot. It just doesn’t work that well.

Yeah, I can't find the setting from the instrument panel menus to turn this park assist auto-search off. It's suppose to appear whenever speed is less than 18 MPH. But sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it flashes that there is parking space to either side of the car when I an ON THE FREEWAY!
