#requieh gave a detailed post about it earlier:Just received a call from my Jaguar Rep to check up on my recent service in Honolulu (All is now working perfectly) and he informed me that OTA updates are now active in US. He claims they are operational now.
Maps cannot be updated OTA. You need to download the file to a USB drive and then install in the car. They are on a quarterly update cycle.Maybe that's why I got an alert on my nav panel to update the maps?
Can I do that OTA (I don't have the car SIMM, so it would be my iPhone's connection).
Nah, that's something else. You gotta update it manually using a flash drive. Just did this last week.Maybe that's why I got an alert on my nav panel to update the maps?

Download from the website onto a flash drive was like 30min and the update to the vehicle itself was only like 10min. Tip - turn the car on first and then insert the flash drive into the usb port inside the center armrest after the vehicle is on. You should then be prompted for the map update.Thanks. The other thread covers that distinction also, but I hadn't read it.
How long did it take? 30 minutes, or more than that?
