Has anyone here been able to place an order for a new Ipace?
Local dealer told me Jaguar doesn't allow dealers to order cars with specific options
Another dealer told me they can't order iPace's specifically and they only find out they're getting an allotment or 2 once the car hits US soil
Both those answers sound like BS

I think that neither of those are true, unless something has recently changed. We were able to request an I-Pace (2022) with specific options and color and our dealer ordered it right after their allotment was granted.

Could you share which dealer you worked with?

So a '22 that was "lemoned", a '22 Audi etron, and now looking to order a '24 I-Pace. Sounds like you have a story to tell?🙂 Was the grass greener on the other side?

Lol, so I had the Audi first. Using that as a company car, it's extremely comfortable and meets expectations of a higher end luxury car. It was a little too big for my liking though, so the iPace stood out due to it's size. Everyone in the family was comfortable driving it around, sporty, looked great....and then **** started before even plates came in

With a little over 10k on the etron, it's been trouble free except for the SOS system(some issue with the modem, it's an audi thing)
There's nothing in the same size class that feels as premium as the iPace. The GV60 comes close though

When I was looking December of last year I called all the dealers in the Chicago area. I think there were nine of them. About half said no luck. One said they had two coming. The others each had a car coming. The dealer i ended up going with had one coming will all the options I wanted except adaptive dynamics next month so I did that rather risk waiting 6 months with the supply chain like it was with the chip shortage. A couple dealers offered me a custom order. But one sounded like snake lol

The etron is a NICE luxury car with some sporty elements added on
The ipace was meant to be sporty to start with
Seems 2024 is gonna be end of the line for the ipace?

My 2023 was delivered today. I ordered it back in Sept. Originally it was going to be an end of Mar delivery but somehow got built early? I was able to specify everything. Got HUD and 2 keys. The only thing so far that it doesn't have that my 2020 had is the 3D camera system. I'll write a comparison in the near future with some pics.

Congrats! Would be interested to know your experience. I had a 2019 for about a week before getting a 2022. I found that there were minor but meaningful upgrades that made the 2022 worth the extra.

Congrats!

I’ve been checking inventory and I now see 12 new 2023 in inventory within 1000 miles of Texas. It’s good to see supply coming to the US.

What was the purchase experience like? Any negotiation possible or was it a straight MSRP deal?

No negotiation. I did get a reasonable value on my 2020 - more than I paid for it at end of lease in Oct. The British forum reports that the used market for Ipace's has dropped considerably. Still seeing high prices in Canada though there are certainly a lot more available in the last couple of months.

Hi there. I called a local dealer in November to inquire about an Ipace. He had one on order for 3/2023 and I took that order over. There was still time to change up the details, so I personalized it. In short, the answer is that the dealers you spoke with were not being truthful. They probably just didn't want to order one because they make no money on it with MSRP. If you can order one to specifications or find one on order that still allows customization, you are good. I just had to put a deposit on it and it became my order. I'm hoping to get the '23 I-pace in a few weeks!

Was able to place an order for a 2024, dealer was further away but more helpful than the others
Carpathian Grey with all options, bright pack, 20 inch wheels and oyster interior
nice! Congrats!

How are you liking the e-tron sportback prestige? I was thinking of getting that one, but it wasn’t really available in 2021 when I was looking.

It's a great car! it's smooth, comfortable, quick, handles great(had mine lowered via coding), spacious unless you're wanting to carry over 4 suitcases.
Compared to the I-Pace, I think the e-tron leans a little more on the comfort side, the I-pace leans a little more on the sporty side
