This is a thread just for I-Pace owners in Northern California, and especially in the Bay Area.

Anybody up for doing a drive together? Palomares is always fun. >:)

Hello. I'm not familiar with Palomares. Where is that? I probably won't be able to do that for a while, at least until I get my L2 charger installed.
Palomares is in Castro Valley and Hayward, between the 580 and Niles Canyon.
Bay Area owner here as well. Please keep me informed of any gatherings.

I drove up to Lake Tahoe last weekend. Quite easy to do and lots of CCS fast chargers along the way. I even got stuck in Truckee overnight due to road closure and had to sleep in the car. Nice to be able to keep toasty in the car without the worries of fumes.

Was yours the grey one in the service bay on Saturday?
All of you guys should pull up to some regular car meet and see the reaction on their faces, I-Pace's are still very new and not entirely easy to spot.
silver with red performance seats
no idea where they park it while they wait for JLR tech line to get back to them

What issue is your car experiencing? Mine's been at Stevens Creek JLR for a while now with an Emergency Lane Keep Assist and ABS software issue that they can't figure out.

Instrument panel software issue, but I'm not sure I trust the specifics of that info as the sales people are totally clueless and I haven't pressed the issue by asking for a phone call with the service manager. Will deploy that when absolutely necessary.

I'm not even sure it's not a hardware issue. Sensor failures for example sometimes look like software issues.
I think we all will/do enjoy the car so an outing sounds great!

But this thread will also be a good forum to collectively share experiences with our Bay Area dealers ...as early adopters we will benefit from sharing some of the inevitable frustrations with early bugs and service.

A good outing might be to visit that Super Speed CCS charger south the Bay Area then on to a coastal restaurant.
Flooding an area Jaguar Dealer after lunch might freak them out.

I'm game, even though I'm Southern California.

In the Summer there might be another Refuel EV Race at Laguna Seca by Speed Ventures. Spectate or race, it would be nice to Represent the Cat.
Haha, we have a SoCal interloper. You're always welcome in the Northern climes McRat. If you find high speed chargers to get you here (and back ;)

Hmm, that Laguna Seca idea sounds pretty cool ...
My i-pace was delivered to JLR San Jose last week, but I've been in NYC until tomorrow. Earliest I could pick it up would be Saturday--but I'm on the fence. I just got a promotion that involves me traveling much more often to San Francisco(2-3 days a week, can take Caltrain some of the time) and I'm worried about the range, sounds like realistically I couldn't even expect two round trips from downtown SJ and SF per full charge. Any advice? Also, my condo building has 5 L2 charging spots, but recently there have been about 10 Tesla Model 3's purchased by residents in the last few months alone, so they're pretty much always full.

Have you officially bought the car yet or are they fixing it during PDI? The camera for Lane Keep Assist needed replacement in my car is suppose to be replaced today but then they didn't get the part so maybe tomorrow or the next day. Whatever, I told the salesman to call me when its ready to be sold.

Here are the three options you have:

1. Reliable overnight charging at home (7.2 kW would suffice)
2. Reliable work charger
3. Stopping on the way every ~3rd one-way leg

I put down a $3K deposit but more importantly I want the car which I spec'd to my liking. I'll just be patient and make sure they fix stuff. So far it sounds like a minor thing and if they need a part it may take two weeks but if it's just software maybe I can pick it up this week. To be sure, I'd rather have the car now than wait but I also don't want to get all bent out of shape for a delay on a new vehicle with all the expected glitches.

What happened to lead to the camera replacement? I noticed the LKA turns off on its own sometimes with zero notification. You really have to pay attention. I'm spoiled a bit from Tesla AP.

Which dealer is your car at? I went to San Jose JLR to check on my car and they had 5 I-paces in the shop and they "are waiting on Jaguar engineers" since they don't know how to fix any of them. Pretty frustrating.

They claim my car has a software issue that's more than just LKA, but LKA & inability to read road signs are the only noticeable issues from 3 days of driving the car. For some reason they seem hesitant in swapping out the front facing camera.

The grill camera has nothing to do with LKA/road sign recognition. I know this to be true because the lens fell out of my grill camera within a few hours of leaving the dealership and I’ve not had any problems with LKA/road sign recognition
