Hi all,

I am a newbie to the forum. I have recently ordered my i-Pace and am hoping for delivery in August/September, but i don't really know as Jaguar are being coy about it.

My order is for a First Edition in Corris Grey, 20' 5070 wheels, Ebony leather and light oyster headlining, with luxury carpet mats.

I currently drive a Tesla Model S 85, which i've had for 3 years. I have to say, the Model S is an amazing car but is a bit minimal inside, so i'm looking forward to the luxury of the i-Pace.

Looking forward to hearing from all you people waiting like me for delivery of their i-Pace !

Welcome to the forum Shane, congrats on the preorder! I'm sure you wont be the first Tesla owner, looking to make a switch, considering all the new and upcoming rivals. I was pretty surprised to see the I Pace outperform the Model X in that head to head.

ChargedUp, you need to check the details, one of which one is that the Model X 100D is 300kg heavier, they darn't put it up against P100D of course :)
Its little things like that which has me wondering how long Tesla will last with them finally getting rivals that are worth worrying about.
Tesla is a premium EV car maker and Jaguar will be one of the first to rival them in that space.

Tesla & Elon Musk

I am more than a little biased as i have had a Tesla Model S for 3 years now, but we mustn't forget that we have Tesla/Elon Musk to thank in a big way for pushing the EV revolution and pressuring the other marques to get EV's on the road quicker than they might have otherwise.

The i-Pace is a truly beautiful car, but then so is the Model S (IMHO, subjective of course!). I'm personally not keen on the Model X or Model 3, but again....................

I'm sure that we will have a huge choice of pure EV's in two or three years time, but we must all be very grateful that Jaguar have got there first, and with a masterpiece of a car.

Thank you Elon!

Ahhh Musk, still remember the Model T days when electric vehicles were still in its infancy stage of development, if other automakers were developing them at all. Now we have so many options to choose from and more to come, though Jaguar is the first to deliver a long range crossover with performance to boot.

The waiting portion is going to be the hard part, but you have a forum support group for that. :D
