Hi all - SUPER excited to be an I-Pace owner!!!

First time all-electric purchase, but I've owned the following in the last 3 years and I never plan on going back to ICE ever again:

  • Audi A3 e-tron PHEV
  • Porsche 718 Boxster
  • Porsche Macan GTS
  • Honda Clarity

I drifted away from PHEV/BEV obviously, but then after having the Porsches, I really started to loathe going to the gas station. I loved the experience, but hated the fact that I was tethered to SHELL, BP, etc... Over the last 2 years I've test driven the Tesla's and I really hated the oversimplified interior and lack of luxury build feel.

Post delivery work: deeper tinting, Gold Ceramic Pro coating, subwoofer upgrade, debadging of model on rear

I love everything about this car - when I went to cars and coffee this weekend, so many people came up and complimented the looks and build!

My driving habits are within town, and I have a level 2 24AMP ClipperCreek charger in the garage where I can plug it in every night and I work from home.

This is the perfect vehicle for me, and so happy to be "one of us"!:grin2:

That is virtually the same car as I have in Corus Grey, so clearly you have good taste. :)

I also added the tinting to the driver and passenger windows as you did which makes it look much better.

The 22” wheels are the best, aren’t they? They look like $5000 wheels! Oh, wait a second.....

A friend of mine has a detailing shop so he put the ceramic coating on for the price of the beer we were drinking while he did it, so if you can find someone to do the same, I highly recommend it. Otherwise it goes for like $1200 or something kooky. It is amazing how well it repels water isn’t it? Sort of like you car was covered in Pam Cooking Spray. Lol

I suggest bumping your home charger to a 32amp unit so you can maximize (or would that be minimize?) your charge time. She is a thirsty girl so getting an additional 1/3 of the time trimmed off would be a wise investment. Depending on how hard you flog it that is.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first fully electric car. Quite the step up over your previous hybrid models and there hasn't been a comparison test to the Model X where the I-Pace hasn't come out ahead. Always seen them as a tech company that builds cars.

Subwoofer and Amp:

JL Audio CS110LG-TW3 (down firing)
MRV-M500 - Alpine Monoblock 500W
Got any photos? Where did you mount them? Custom enclosure? Did you have to run a new wire to the amp? Do you have the base or upgraded stereo in your car?

No photos - the bass box is just sitting in the trunk and the amp is hidden behind the sidewall next to the fuses.
I contracted through a custom shop to do the work so I don't know any details on the wiring and I do have the upgraded system. I also did not have the remote bass control installed.
