I might be the only foolish one around but I am taking one of the last of the '24s on a lease deal to replace my '22. I sure hope that the new one will be as good as the one going back.
the reason that I am replacing the '22 is because the lease is up and the residual to buy the car is too high, it is more sound to lease a new one and the new lease is more than $100 per month lower than the '22

You're not alone! I had bought my 2020 out at end of lease and then traded it in for a new 2023. I got a very good trade in on my 2020. About 8k more the what I paid after driving it for additional 3+ months. Though did have to pay full price on the 2023 at the time. Unfortunately the 2023 is also plagued with battery module problems - 4 so far. Still love the design of this car. Will keep it as long as possible - not worth much on resale now.

Not the only one! I just leased a 2024 to replace my 2019 that JLR is buying back. Hopefully better luck with the battery this time (though mine only had one bad cell; I would have gladly kept driving it if they’d just replaced it). Nice upgrade to HSE, Pivi Pro, 22” wheels etc.

With today’s deals, leasing seems like the right move for any EV in 2025.

What leasing deals are available in your area? I received a buyback offer for my 2019 and I'm considering a 2024 because this has been the best car I've ever owned. However, the lease deal I was shown is horrible. $6995 down and $689/mo. If I compare my 2019 to the lease deal, my original purchase price minus my buyback offer is $50k which works out to paying $694/mo with zero down.

you need to find a dealer that is residing in reality, that reality is that if they still have any inventory they need to move it regardless of price, a dealer rarely loses money on any car that they move, a wise car dealer realizes that the Ipace is an orphan from a "dead" car brand in the US that almost nobody has any interest in owning. it may take some searching but decent deals can be found. my local dealer came around too late to make a deal with me, at first they were still playing dealer games, even after I shared the worksheet pricing from the other dealership. the day I closed the deal with the reasonable dealership the local people saw the light and came back with something that was almost reasonable, sad for them they are still stuck with their last Ipace because they just can't help themselves playing their silly dealer games with customers. My best line to them was when I first made contact that I was the only guy in this larger city that has any interest in their ipace and that if they want to move the car they'd have to make realistic deal, which they now in hindsight regret doing. my seal was for a base car, zero down, 720 per month including taxes, 36 months.
happy hunting.
