HELLO HERE IS MY UPDATE ON THIS

Thank you for your prompt response. I have received the vehicle history report from Premium VIN and I have decided not to proceed with the purchase of the vehicle based on the information provided. The report indicates that the vehicle has been involved in one accident, has had six lien or loan records, and was titled to an insurance company. In addition, the report reveals that the vehicle has had two past owners. Considering these factors, I have decided that the vehicle is not a suitable purchase for me. I appreciate your assistance and the opportunity to review the report. Thank you.

Greetings everyone,

I am currently on the hunt for a used car, and I stumbled upon a
2019 Jaguar I-Pace that caught my eye. However, The car has an Electric engine and the asking price is $15,075. I am a bit hesitant to go through with the purchase since the car has a salvage title. I was hoping to get some input and guidance from the community on whether or not it is a wise decision to take the risk.
Here are the details of the car:

Although the price for the year and model seems reasonable, the salvage title is causing some concern. I am worried about the potential issues that could arise from owning a car with a salvage title, including safety concerns, difficulties with obtaining insurance, and challenges with selling the car in the future.

I would appreciate it if anyone in the community has any experience with purchasing a car with a salvage title and could offer some advice on what risks and drawbacks I should be aware of. Is it worth going for the lower price tag, or should I consider spending more money to purchase a car with a clean title?

Any feedback or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

Just my 2 cents ...

The suspension fault looks like a something major in the passenger front. It may be more than just a blown air bag in the EAS. The problem with EVs right now is that the battery is in the floor and structural damage may also cause battery damage or damage to the system that maintains the battery and that may be a real issue down the road with insurance or reselling the car.

The fact that you're asking means you're not prepared to do the work yourself to fix this car, or even to assess what needs to be fixed.

Thats a $15k car that probably needs $20k+ in repairs to be even close to normal. For that price you're better off finding a used one that hasnt been in an accident imo.

As much as used I-Pace's are going for (+$50000?) it appears to be a deal to me. Of course, the factory battery warranty would not apply any more. I would want to see it turn on for an hour or so and not go up in smoke. The wheel may be just a blown airbag or hose. I would not plan on using a dealer for most of the work. Body shops love a challenge! A guy hit me head on in my Ford Focus Electric, and the insurance company totaled it due to the unknowns about the traction battery surviving the head on crash. A salvage company wanted to buy it because they thought they could make money on it by rebuilding it, if it didn't have that salvage titling with it. Did any air bags go off in this car?

I wonder if used Ipace prices are going to drop eventually in N. America. They seem to have plummeted in Britain if you read the UK forum. My old 2020 with 72000 km on it is listed at the Metrowest for $75,888. I'd be surprised if it goes for anywhere near that. It was in great shape and had the wiring harness done and no battery degradation that I could tell if anyone interested.

Agree with the majority, too much risk that the battery pack has been damaged and the cost of fixing that suspension would be very high as well. And the body parts on the I-Pace are fused so replacing them can be iffy as well. Nope...
