Localize buyback car

Question for those who have returned the car to JLR due to the buyback program: is the TCU still actif and are you able to localize your car ? Just curious about JLR plan for them. Are they all sent to a centralized place ?

Due to a strange 12v Battery failure I had with a strange symbol on my update screen, that both cleared exactly 24 hours later, I pulled My TCU antennae wires off the TCU. 12v system works great now & my scan gauge shows the TCU backup battery is dead. I do not see that I will ever reactivate it. It has also stopped my local dealer from sending low ball estimates to sell my car to them, because they can't pull my mileage up anymore.

I was told my car was going to a location in Atlanta, Georgia. When I dropped off the car today I asked what was going to happen to it. They told me that they were going to be crushed.... One interesting fact was that in order for the car to be picked up and transported, the battery needed to be between 30 and 40%. If under or over..no go for you!

Checked on my car this morning and it is still sleeping in Conley, GA. Looks like JLR updated the Remote app since they have so much time on their hands these days. Took a quick look-around and didn't see any new functionality, but TBH I preferred the look of the old app.

I saw a picture of the lot in Georgia where I paces are being accumulated posted by a user within the last several weeks, either in this thread or a similar one. However, I am not seeing the picture. Hoping it didn't get taken down. Can anyone get me to that picture?

So early last week, the "buy back specialist" #2 gave me a list of dates to retrieve the vehicle. I replied with some dates/times and conditions. They never called me to confirm but the tow truck appears in front of my house this morning. He had no idea what he was towing and no knowledge what to do. So the dealership called me twice today, first time since my issue, go figure.

My conditions were:

1 - reimburse for yet another month of insurance I paid (a month later)
2 - tow the vehicle at your expense
3 - have check ready on arrival.

Then the FIRST buy back specialist was not too pleasant on the phone - I didn't get angry or raised my voice - just asking why they are not making me whole.

Last week?? JLR or Jaguar CEO stated they're wanting brand loyalty, and turning it around after firing past "marketing" blunder team yet this is going on right now to customers.

They tow the vehicle, argued about reimburse and NO CHECK.

I call the dealership where it was towed and hear this.... "Oh, that's your car on our lot?" This Morely company must be some tiny outfit or something in Saginaw. Dealership and I are "waiting". Attempts to call them from both sides go to voicemail.

I too liked the look of the old app. Also not logging in right away. I thought I saw a message on toggling from day to night background. I am adjusting to the white background, but if anyone knows how to change it to black (old style) let me know.
