I am not sure what recall it was buy my VIn number fell under the buyback range. consumer affair did reach out to me with an offer which I accepted. I started this entire process in December 20 and I can now see the light.
Congrats! Is there any way you can disclose what they offered? Also, did you accept right away or did you negotiate with them over the price?

My car also falls under the H514 program and I'm also living in the LA area. I started my buy back process mid January and i was told the other day that they have submitted the case to Consumer Affairs who will ultimately make the buyback approval decision.

I was contacted within the week after it went to consumer affairs .

Wait, has everyone else been charging at home [post mileage reduction]? One of the service reps told me not to charge at home/in door
I continue to operate with no software update and charge 100% as needed where needed. My garage is detached and I mostly charge at work. Tomorrow is Friday so I will be charging to 100%.

🫡 copy. Jag serv manager had told me "You really shouldn't charge indoors or park near any structures" before I hopped on here.

Wanted to be precautions and not test Murphy's law with my house.

I got the H514 patch installed, someone from Jag called me to gather details about my case and then for some reason said he'll close the case and Jag will contact me about next steps. I have written letters to almost all state agencies in CA including the attorney general. I will continue to push Jaguar and other CA agencies to get me a reasonable settlement. See attached copy of the letter I sent out to several agencies for help.

Keep in mind that Jaguar have only done this in the US so all other 2019s all over the world have zero restrictions, so it is unclear whether this is a true safety issue or litigation issue. Does Jaguar fear US lawyers, or not care about the safety of the rest of us (probably mostly the former). Having said that, if you were to have an unlikely issue you will be hanging in the breeze if you knowingly ignored their safety warnings.

Same here but I charge inside my garage next to other cars. As Austin Powers used to say "I too like to live dangerously!" More seriously the risk is very low, but it depends on risk tolerance of each of us. I already had my tesla roadster power management module fail and dump 240v directly into the batteries and **** near melt both, but the design of the cell packs prevented any fire.

🤦🏻‍♂️ yeaaaa beibiii. Man, haven't seen that movie in ages 🇬🇧

And I get it, I would never risk anyones safety or well being if I was officially warned about something.
A neighbor's ev caught fire and it took the entire brigade to put it out.
What I'm getting from these comments is simply proceed with caution.

Called yesterday and they were acting suspect; very evasive. The dealerships probably know less than anyone on here 😂

Jaguar could cost us all $7500 by their slow progress. Fortunately, the GOP can't just change the law behind the subsidies, but that is supposing we are a society that follows laws.
"this federal support for EVs was part of a 2022 law that may require congressional action to change, although the details of the tax credit were set by the Internal Revenue Service, not Congress.". https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/22/business/trump-ev-policy-change/index.html
The I Pace is not eligible for the tax credit. Only vehicles with “final assembly” in the US are eligible.

I went through the lemon law process in CA with great success with my 2019. Happy to share more if interested in a private message
Was trying to private message you. But it’s not letting me because it says I haven’t posted anything yet. But I’m currently awaiting to be contacted by consumer affairs, in California. JLR has signed over my case to them. Can you please PM me regarding this?

Wait what? I totally thought it was California Department of consumer affairs.
I'm chuckling, because when I first called JLR customer service the agent kept saying that someone from consumer affairs would contact me. My first thought was that she was referring to a government agency. However, after much prodding it became evident that she was talking about an internal JLR entity.
