About the looks of the Ioniq 6: half my family love it and say it looks like a 911...
Indeed it does. The 911 has never been a pretty car, and Hyundai took all the worst traits from the worst years then put them together. I don't think Porsche has made a truly beautiful car since the 1960s. They do make fast cars, at least.

Hyundai's N Vision 74 is pretty darn cool looking, though it's basically a DeLorean.

The Rivian R3X looks **** good to me. If they're still around long enough to make one, I might get one.

About the looks of the Ioniq 6: half my family love it and say it looks like a 911, the rest of us have taste (beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess).
The Ioniq6 looks like it was a plastic model that got left in an oven and started melting like ice cream in the sun and rescued. oh its ok, just sagging a bit.

I drove a Polstar 3 yesterday. It’s a great car but…. Having to dig through the interface to adjust the mirrors etc was problematic. No CarPlay (yet) and a myriad of other “launch edition” concerns, and the $90,000 price tag made me walk. I can not handle getting gas again. Since my Leaf experience was great, I’m not put off by EVs. But maybe a PHEV? The Q8 etron lacks the Jag drive but the enterior is a step up. Guess we’ll see how much they offer.
Serious lol and congrats 🫡✊🏼

To follow up on my previous post, I'm a little over a week into driving the car with the 514 update installed. It is consistently charging to 80%. Now, Here's the weird part. On multiple occasions since the update, while driving or preconditioning, the car will only blow ice cold air. I have had tons of glitches with the infotainment system, cameras, and the lane keep /assist, but previously, The only problem I ever had with the traction system was a "traction battery fault" warning 3 months ago. I took it into the dealership and they blamed the age of the two 12-volt batteries. That was an $800 replacement for both. Yesterday, I received a "charging system fault detected" warning, and the car would not move. It acknowledged both drive and reverse but no movement. I turned it off and Turned it on multiple times. Each time with the same result and same warning. I locked the car and walked away for an hour and when I came back, voila, it started right up and ran. The heat worked as normal for the remainder of the day. I love love love this car, but as my daily driver doing 24,000 mi a year I don't think I could get into another one.

I just ordered one...P3 with Performance Package. They have a deal going on where you can get a 3K credit if you have a JLR car. I was able to get close to 14K in incentives applied to the lease. The lease terms are pretty good. I never leased before, but owning an EV right now makes zero sense. The depreciation is brutal across all EV's.

I have an Audi dealer close by and drove a Q8. Meh is all I can say, the performance was noticeably lower than the i-Pace. I have the dealer trying to find a SQ8, but they are close to 100K and the entire line is being dropped in Feb.

If the P4 was available, or the SQ6 was available, I would probably pick one of them....

Hey Everyone - Has anyone had any luck in WA State on a buyback? We've been pretty fortunate (or maybe unfortunate in this case) to have only had the car in the shop maybe 3 weeks in total. Ive been trying to figure out based on the discussions what I'd be looking at roughly for a 2019 FE HSE w/82k miles, a high voltage controller replacement, a couple of 12v battery replacements and a leaky window (out of warranty, have some nicely placed tape on the windshield keeping the water out). We didn't want to drop the money into it if a buyback is happening. But reading between the lines in the post is tough - wish there was an anonymous poll or log of what people are seeing w/general values in a spreadsheet or something... The car is fantastic, absolutely love it and WISH it would be fixed, but now I'm too worried about future problems/support and parts. NOTE: I have NOT had the big recall update for charging (80% limiter) done yet - we had a 12v battery that would no longer hold a charge the morning the work was scheduled and haven't handled that yet. And now I'm also trying to digest if there is any advantage to NOT do the update. Apologize if those 2 things (Washington State Buyback success and the software update) has been covered - there's so much discussion on those topics...

SURVEY: HEY EVERYONE.

Piggybacking off my last post - I KNOW THIS IS A NON-STARTER FOR SOME HERE BECAUSE OF THE NDA'S. That said, I created an ANONYMOUS survey in SURVEYMONKEY that asks a few simple questions about general buyback experience (year, State you live, mileage, buyback status, $ amount, and if its in the dealer currently for repairs).

The 'free' SURVEYMONKEY tier I believe only allows 50 people to answer so it shouldn't be up more than a few days. I will provide a summary of the responses in Excel or CSV format for digestion.

The 'anonymous' caveat: SURVEYMONKEY does collect the IP address of the computer that completed the form but that's all/no names or addresses. I know that forensic investigation might be possible but its a pain in the ass > and if the survey is answered in a coffee shop/pub or a friends WIFI, etc - then the IP address will be of that establishment/won't know who submitted it and I doubt JLA would subpoena survey monkey and then have to trace IP addresses - I could be wrong but wanted to share the risk.

LINK: Jaguar I Pace Recall and Buyback Tracker.

Again, skip it if you're worried. For people who haven't started the process and you're curious - you're in the clear.

Without sounding critical: What is YOUR basis for a buyback, other than the H541 recall?

If H541 is the only criteria you meet, the info gathered will be entirely irrelevant since to my knowledge nobody has had a buyback completed under H541 to date.

Sorry - Football day. I'm lost in all of this. I've been trying to figure what recalls apply, what all has even been done on the car (VIN Search, etc). I guess I've been just trying to read through the 73 threads (sarcasm) on the topic and some people saying they have huge amounts offered back, some not so great, etc. Was assuming this was all part of the big buy back. If not, then yeah - this is pointless unless I change the questionnaire to incorporate lemon law stuff. After re-reading some, maybe it was all people whose I Paces have been in the shop for extended periods w/o ability to use the car...

Rather than worry about what others have received and what their unique circumstances were, may I suggest that you focus on your own car. I recently went through a buyback/tradein under the H484 recall and it was frustrating enough to get any communications from JLR, but trying to mirror other unrelated deals would have only made the situation more unbearable. Once you get a proposal, then you can compare.

Have you received any official recall letters from JLR?

Other than the H541 recall and the software that I believe you said you have not had installed yet, what other issues have you had with your car? If the answer to that is nothing that hasn't been fixed, you're in the position of sitting tight and letting the H541 process move along at JLR's pace.

Sorry to sound critical, but without any details from you regarding your car and its problems, any advice you receive here is totally useful and will probably lead to false expectations and further frustration.

my 2019 did this with the ac glitch and they preformed the JLRTB02109NAS1 technical bulletin. They gutted the entire plumbing and it took a month and the issue was resolved. I got it back and then water pooled into the driver's foot well. They found no windshield leak (common issue) but did have to re-flash the driver side ac module, found it to be running too cold. That seemed to fix the issue. I'm still under basic, which luckily covered the repairs

I tried the generic warranty number and was told the operation is restarting for everyone, expect a call in two weeks. I tried to have the software update done to the vehicle and the dealership said it was 2 for 2 updates causing traction faults. I opted to postpone til monday so I can service at a closer dealership and avoid not having a car. That dealership rep started going into how a vehicle that was 2 days out of basic being denied coverage, but I'm unsure that this was for the h514 recall. He started diving into battery warranty was just for battery health. I should have had him clarify but I told him I wasn't about to argue with him. Seriously, I can't see how a cell being bad is anything but a battery health issue. Anyway, has anyone been offered a buyback on H514 specifically? What about battery replacement? Dealer made it seem that the option of a new battery was not yet ruled out, could go either way
