My 2019 was towed in for the Third time. They determined my car is bricked. Unfortunately now they have my car and are not fixing it. I'm waiting for corporate to call now with my offer. They said this will expedite my case. I'm in Indiana, purchased car in IL.
Think I’ve been towed 4. At least 2 of those were my faults, GOM led me wrong. I took mine into shop the last time back in August. It sat outside for 6 months. Just got it back yesterday. It has new scratches in the back bumper and water in the floorboard. And now it only charges to 72%. The dealer said that Jaguar NA told them to stop working on it because it was subject to buy back. Hope you have better luck.

Yes mine was only in shop 2 days and they decided not to fix it and contacted Jaguar corporate so I'm waiting for them to call. Sorry yours has been such a long waiting game. Sounds like you need a lawyer maybe.

Well hopefully you get back soon and without damage. You’re probably right on getting an attorney. I sort of sympathized with the dealer initially being caught in the middle. But not so much now.

once they give you the actual offer, to accept you'll also have to sign an NDA. I wouldn't accept anything less than the full amount owed to you via Lemon Law.
How does one work out if the offer is reasonable?

The lemon law allows usage depreciation to be subtracted from original price...
Also, the lemon law allow the user to negotiate for a replacement vehicle rather than buyback. Anyone have any success in this? Will they give you a more recent I-pace from their inventory?

As an update to my post above about Consumer Affairs Review, this was their response:

After evaluating this matter in good faith, Consumer Affairs does not believe that your vehicle qualifies for repurchase under the California Lemon Law;
  • However, you will be contacted shortly by a Specialist Team. They will provide you with further information and discuss the available options for the H514 recall.
  • We do not have a specific time frame for when you can expect to be contacted, please be assured that the team is working diligently to address all matters as quickly as possible.
I am not the original owner and didn't imagine I would qualify for the Lemon Law, but I assumed they were looking into a separate H514 buyback. Similar to what Ford did with the Fusion Energi recently. Either way, JLR seems to be continuing to drag this process out.

Some states like Michigan allow used purchase to apply the lemon law if the vehicle was still covered by warranty. Not sure if warranty means the vehicle or battery warranty, and not sure if it includes certified pre-owned warranty. I bought mine CPO so

i just read a pdf to all jaguar dealers the ipace buyback will be hangled buy a company Morley well here is the kicker they want to pay us kbb value

As of today, I received an email from Morley regarding the repurchase. Perhaps having made complaints with NHTSA, FTC and The FL Attorney General triggered something?

I feel that the attached is a generic email meant to pressure anyone who is already beat down, and not paying attention. Note the composition & formatting.

-My response kept it professional while making it clear their offer is unacceptable. I did not "refuse" any offers.
-Referenced precedent (Chevy, VW) to show their approach is unfair, and failed miserably when attempted by GM & VW.
-Referenced the warranty, and the owner's manual regarding the dispute resolution supplement.
-Pushed for transparency on how they're calculating these low offers.
-Signaled that legal escalation is on the table if they don't reconsider.

Hope everyone is contacted soon, and that you stand strong + are made whole.

Thank you! I expect the same letter and low offer, and will respond the same.

I got an email from Morley yesterday. Same generic email as other people on this list have received.
They suggested that KBB value is "fair". I wrote back saying that fair would mean me getting enough money to get another similar car, which KBB won't allow me to do. Also referred to Chevy Bolt and GM's actions. Then I requested a battery replacement. We'll see how it goes.
I am surprised that no legal firm has picked this up.

In the interest of not causing confusion, I’m not going to offer the detailed settlement I have been offered for buyback since there are so many variables when pricing a car. I can only say that I’m very happy with my offer. Once I had a case number things moved very quickly. I was ready to provide all documentation asked for the same day I received a request for it, this really sped things along. I am now just waiting for the dealer to contact me on the appointment to bring the car in.

I submitted the required docs yesterday. How many days did Morley take to get back to you with an offer after you submitted docs. Thanks.

Which state are you in?

All,

This is my first post. I loved my I pace, but like we all know its being bought back.

I called the number on the TSB and next day got my email. I indicated KBB is a little light where I got a little pushback saying its 6 years old. Mine was bought in 2021 as brand new and I have 48,000 or so miles with 2 years warranty remaining on a car I don't want to sell. She said send over the paperwork and we can talk about a number.

I sent it all today. Lets see how it goes.

"We can talk about a number..." - interesting. Maybe they will deviate from KBB. I still don't understand what happens if one of us refuses to sell. They promised the Feds to take care of this issue, didn't they?
