Every car as far as I know undergoes cold weather testing and the I-Pace was no different. Jaguar uploaded a video of someone test driving the I-Pace on a snowy course along with Adam Brant, an I-Pace senior engineer, and Adam actually answered the all important charging question. It takes around 45 minutes to charge from 0-80% using a 100kw charger.
Also interesting was this picture posted by Wheels.ca as there's a red wrapped I-Pace among the green ones.

A 45 minute charge time certainly is impressive and sure to please any thinking of making the switch to an EV. I wonder if they have any plans on releasing different trims/variants of the I Pace such as an R sport or S, and that's what being teased with the red camo. And all this winter testing and no one bothered to ask what the range loss was in colder weather? On average its about 30%.

It just better not stop here with winter testing. JLR needs to hold winter driving training programs much like what BMW has done for decades. As they become more like BMW and Mercedes, little things like this will give them an edge, even if its some training they do in massive parking lots just to better reach people in the city.

It seems that most automakers have come to the conclusion that theres nothing to be done for poor efficiency found during the winter. As we know there isn't really any engineering to be done to make electricity more cold friendly. I suppose as they continue to advance the technology, with higher ranges and faster charger times, that the hit taken during the winter will become less of an issue.
