I don't know if you guys have heard about this race series that will feature 20 I-Pace cars racing across 10 different tracks. These variants were produced by Jaguars in house SVO team, and have seen some awesome styling tweaks and weight reduction. With a max speed of 121mph and a 0-60 sprint in 4.2 seconds, these races should be an interesting watch. These models could end up being the basis for SVO versions of the I-Pace.

Yeah, good look. There are plenty of details online, but I'll just reiterate that it's a modded production car. So, same power plant(s), with upgraded brakes and stripped interior. You can get one for ~$250,000; but apparently it's another ~$450,000 to enter the race series. . . . So, much more economical to simply buy some spare tires and track your production model (and pretend its got a wing and racing stripe). There are also murmurs about about radically different power plants in the future (SVR?).

Yeah the cost of these variants really reiterates just how much value Jaguar has packaged into the production model. While I don't know how much interest there will be in modifying electric vehicles, I do like the look of the more aggressive front bumper. More vibrant color options would be nice too.

Yes, I think Jaguar was very conservative with the colour options on the I-Pace. I think they are used to more "traditional" customers who are maybe more conservative on colours. My dealer stated that since I had chosen the Caesium blue, my deposit would become non-reimbursable after the "last amendment possible date" on the order. He also said that with a black, white or grey car, the deposit would stay reimbursable until final delivery.

But this being a such innovative car, it has to be more "visible". :wink2:

This is one reason we're getting the FE, for the red. People really do buy bland colors. Partly that's all automakers offer anymore. Partly that's all lots tend to carry. Mostly people just suck.
