I read that a fault was found on a batch of headlights, and that is [only] delaying that model/option (but "4 months"?)
Since I didn't get the advance LED option, I haven't heard any delays yet about my customized "S" order. I am actually scheduled to check out a prototype I-Pace tomorrow at my dealer. I'll ask him about the schedule.

Here's a copy of the original delivery estimate and the revised early delivery estimate.

It looks like your "Accepted Handover" date did not change - it's still showing January 9, 2019.

Anyone know what's the deal with all the 'handover' and 'delivery' dates? I got a similar order document, with multiple dates. Which one is the date I should expect to take delivery from the dealer? Unlike bruintoo, my planned handover is almost a month LATER than my accepted handover. I'm thinking that the 'planned' handover is the current estimate, while 'accepted' handover was the original estimate. So, I should be able to take delivery any time after the 'planned' date, unless they delay it again. But I'm mostly just guessing here - any more knowledgeable input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Best guess? Delivery is when the car arrives at the dealer. Handover is when the dealer finishes prep, and adds any 'dealer-installed options'. If no options, the date would normally be the same day.

Yes, it is clear now that 1500 additional I-Paces will go to the Netherlands in 2018 for some incentives or tax issues. They were planning 2000 deliveries there, now bumped to 3500. That's the priorization JLR was talking about.

I went into the Jag dealership in Ft Worth on July 14th and my anticipated delivery date was Mid January 2019. Was kinda disappointed that it was 6 months out but it is what it is. When news started circulating that deliveries were being delayed I reached out to the dealer and I was told that my delivery actually moved up in time. Now I'm looking at a Mid December 2018 delivery for an HSE model.

That's the same case with my model "S." Original delivery date was January 9, 2019, and then revised to December 19, 2018!

Hi From NJ. Also just spoke to my Jaguar Sales Rep. today. Stated last week of November to first week in December. Basically no change from 3 weeks ago. Also told me no test drives or showing of cars at the local dealers..Majority of the cars are going to California since it's a stronger market. Time will tell.

Update on my order

I ordered a month ago from Livermore Jaguar and Land Rover.
Handover date = 1/2/19

I changed the order yesterday to upgrade to autosteer ("Drive Assist Package"). Received confirmation next day.

Handover date still the same.

I am on the same timeline for my FE, was pushed back 1 month from the original estimate of Oct 24 handover. Non change in the last 5 weeks.

FYI, my car was initially due in January with handover in February, but as of two weeks ago they're showing an ETA to the dealer of 12/21. Dealer rep said planning on hearing from him every four weeks with an updated ETA. In Northern California.
