Thanks interesting indeed. If efficiency is main concern then yes Tesla is definitely a better choice. It’s everythung else that it falls short on.

Obviously Audi and Jaguar decided efficiency wasn’t the primary criteria, which is a very common decision in Luxury cars.

I am confused why they sat Model X is the biggest one of the three, I’m pretty sure it’s not true.

Best Car - I-Pace.
Best EV powertain - Tesla.
Best value - I-Pace. (
Best all-season, all-terrain, all-road technology - I-Pace
Best Urban Car (tight, crowded streets with lots of idiots) - I-Pace

So Tesla wins the economy focus over JLR's first 6 months of production. Oddly, Hyundai/Kia are right up there with Tesla, and the Volt/Bolt are not far behind, nor is the Leaf.

As for Audi, I think that they are intentionally giving up their efficiency in order to protect the battery pack......

I don't understand this statement. To me it would seem Audi is giving up RANGE to add usability and longevity.
I don't see the efficiency loss by limiting the battery charge.

My only comment about efficiency is the fact that I Pace does need more time to charge "per mile gained" than Bolt or Tesla for a given power source, which is a minor annoyance. But not really a big deal. I could charge the Bolt from empty to full in 8 hours, it may take almost 12 on I Pace due to larger battery. But this is all L2 charging, obviously with access to 100 KW fast charging the I Pace is great.
