Discovered the I Pace at its introduction at the LA Auto Show. Clicked on the "I want one" on the I Pace Jaguar web site and am set up with Jaguar of Livermore, CA. I guess I have been added to the "waiting list for build allocation", whatever that means. This vehicle would meet all of my needs in an electric vehicle as far as type and size goes. If the staring price is less than or the same as a Tesla Model S and it can be ordered with a tow hitch receiver then it will meet all of my requirements. Good luck to Jaguar with the I Pace.

Glad to hear that and to be honest i will be sitting on the sidelines after hearing about what Porsche has planned because aside from jaguar they are the only other luxury brand I would be buying from, and oddly enough both share similar characteristics with their vehicles.

Welcome to the forum! I think each dealership is allocated a certain amount and you're on the waiting list for those? Not quite sure what that means, but the I-Pace is probably going to be a very popular model.

Thanks for the reply. Still waiting for a call back from Jaguar of Livermore to explain just what the "waiting list for build allocation" is. You may very well be correct. It will be interesting to compare how Jaguar handles their reservations compared to Tesla for the Model 3. So far Tesla has lived up to their reputation of over promising and not delivering. I reserved a Model 3 the first week of April, 2016. No idea of when I may be able to order. Would rather have an IPace if it is delivered sooner than Tesla with a starting price around a Model S price. By the way, does anyone know if the IPace will have a towing receiver option?

I tried looking around for towing related information and the internet seem to be quiet. It seems like dealerships might have access to this sort of information as long as their parts department received diagrams and a parts list.

It it goes anything like the F-Pace rollout, the dealerships will be the worst educated resource you can ask, FYI. This board will certainly have better info than a random sales guy at a jag dealer.

I am in Norway, and have ordered an I-Pace HSE First Edition.
Yes, a tow hitch is available, but this far, it has only been confirmed for around 1600#'s without a dedicated type rating. At around $2000 for the hitch, I decided to wait and see if they up the rating.
The hitch is supposedly built by the SVO-branch, just for the Norwegian market, but I hope if more international buyers nag Jaguar for it, they will certify it for more weight.

And; the First Edition has EVERYTHING, including HUD and lane keep. Glass roof, not opening. And of course normal doors ;-)

Did you by any chance get to see one in person as yet in Norway?
I ask that because it seems that these days Jaguar is showing it off in more markets.
