Have you found a spot where it's reproducible, or can you make it happen at will? I bet someone at JLR would respond if you showed them a video. Maybe you'll be able to get them to keep it off once you turn it off in the Menu. That would be a win.
Great idea, I don't know why I haven't thought of this, I will put my desk cam to work tomorrow. Thank you!

Hey guys -

I am a proud owner of an I-Pace but I've been struggling with the emergency lane keeping and I'll tell you why: Near my place there's a tiny road which his badly built and poorly treated and there are cars going both ways. It's easy to find yourself near the middle of the road just to avoid a hole or swerving to an obstacle.

The emergency lane system in the I-Pace doesn't work well there as it often activates when I am in the middle of the road and since it's tiny, as I try to avoid incoming traffic it actually pushes me towards it which is extremely dangerous.

Now, the struggle I am writing you about, when I disable it in the control system my problem goes away. The pain is that it comes back every time you re-start the car.

Question, have you faced a similar issue and do you have a hack to permanently disable the emergency lane keeping or a suggestion that maybe I haven't thought off.

Thanking you all in advance.
Hi Peter,

Same problem here and easily reproducible. Once the roads are getting narrow the problem pops up. Guaranteed to occur on “polder” roads. I’ve been surprised by the automatic steering correction of the I-PACE regularly. Once I get the first correction I turn it off manually because I know it will repeat on the same road.

My Jaguar dealer (The Adventure, Den Bosch) couldn’t fix it and states the same as mentioned in this thread several times already; you need to turn it off manually every time you start the car and you’ll just need to live with it. ☹

I can imagine this could result into an accident but am afraid there’s nothing much to do about it. I don’t think this will be resolved with a software update but fingers crossed.

I am on my second I pace both of which had/have the feature. The first one was fine but the second one, a 23 year model, is dreadful to they point where I would say dangerous. It goes back to JLR on Monday to investigate. It started after the last software update and is particularly bad in cold weather or poor visibility. The power of the correction on one occasion when roads were icy actually made the car skid before I caught it - again making an inappropriate adjustment. In addition the Collision alert has suddenly kicked in for no apparent reason ( well unless you consider say a cyclist a lave away) much to the shock of the cars behind me. I have noticed that in cold weather I can get some condensation build up on the inside of the windscreen in front of the sensors
