Anyone else seen this? Supposedly the sound generator for pedestrians isn't loud enough. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2023/RCLRPT-23V030-1900.PDF
Since it just involves updating an audio sound file doesn't that seem like something that could be done OTA? I will avoid this recall if possible. I think the speaker is plenty loud as-is

My 2023 is much louder than the 2020, i can here it when driving. I couldn't here it in my 2020. The 2023 in reverse is also much louder.

Only 1,072 2021 & 2022 cars are involved in the recall for the reverse only noise. My 2019 has a pusating back up horn. Do the 2021s and 2022s have something different?

The 2023 has different backup sound. It is quite loud.

Correction: Same backup sound, but added pedestrian sound is very loud while reversing.

Standards changed which is why the forward and reverse sounds are softer or non-existent on 2018-2020 MY cars and they won't get recalled.

My 2022 is plenty loud. I also don’t want it any louder. It already surprises people in parking lots. And it took my wife some getting used to every time she heard me backing out of the garage.

Sounds like it was only certain vehicles. Hopefully mine doesn’t need to be louder. If they make it louder I may file a complaint that it’s too loud 😂

My wife's Niro had an insanely loud backup beep. I covered the speaker with sound insulation material, and it's still loud!
