The title pretty much says it all. Jaguar revealed the I-Pace eTrophy before the production I-Pace debuts at Frankfurt this week and it's a work of art. I know the actual mass produced I-Pace won't look anything like it, but at least offer us that glorious paint as an option.

Comparing the images, it looks like the production air intakes are smaller and sitting closer to the headlights.

Perhaps the headlights will look similar to the eTrophy model? The race ready car is just perfect in every way even though I know we won't see much of the sportier features on the I-Pace.

eTrophy might have the sort of headlights we'll find on a high spec i-Pace, for all we know lower end models might have different internals. Doubt Jaguar would keep similar hardware in a product that can range so much in price.

Won't be surprised to see the I-PAce with its own First edition trim and have those headlights if they don't already come standard. Not sure how effective they are at lighting up a road, but they're certainly good looking even when turned off.

If you take away the front splitter, side skirts and other obvious racing mods, you have the productino I-Pace. The windows, roofline, hood scoop looks pretty similar to the camouflaged mule if you look close enough.

Well yeah its essentially all lower exterior design which is the same for most car makers, but these differences make a real difference. I just wish they took it up a notch to XE Project 8 levels, that thing was crazy.

The etrophy model still has a large front splitter similar to the XE Project 8, just missing that giant wing in the back.

Yeah they are quite similar which has me thinking this is Jaguar's official design DNA when it comes to super high performing Jaguar's. They just better not keep these models too similar in design. The XJ Successor should be the next model to get this treatment.

That won't be for a while yet since Jaguar just came out with the 2018 XJ, but I wouldn't mind if all future Jaguar looks similar to the etrophy model. That front facia looks very unique with all those edges surrounding the front air intakes.

I like how they put a scoop on top of a duct. Windshield definitely needs that extra airflow.
