After four frustrating years of trips to the dealership, tows from breakdowns and a second battery failure, I have escaped. The dealership found it to their advantage to rid themselves of me. Even after JLR NA told them to go pound sand as well, they offered me a straight up buyout or purchase of my 2020. The price was reasonable but not good. Except for the fact that almost all the work on the car was done under warranty, I certainly got spanked by the wicked depreciation hit for a 4-year old, $84k (sticker price) car. I will miss the quiet, purposeful acceleration, the tight steering and aggressive handling. I will miss the cabin comfort, the clean dash and the adequate room. I will not miss the pathetically inadequate range, the slow charging and of course, the ridiculous overarching maintenance issues. My final words to JLR NA are, “perch and rotate” you losers. You’ll be out of business in two years.

Hope you find something satisfactory. Let us know how you fare with a replacement - it's always good to get fair comparisons.

Regarding JLR NA, the name and existing infrastructure was sold to Ford and then onto Tata motors. This is not the Jaguar car company I grew up with in the 60's and 70's. These cars were not even built by good West Midlands workers with a committment to quality, and a sense of pride in the Jaguar name. The name (which essentially it still is) will live on beyond most of us in one form or another under one ownership or another. You may not fall for their future sales pitch but somebody will buy a "Jaguar" in the coming decade.

Good luck with your decision! Not sure why I still get emails from this thread, Jag and I parted ways 12 months ago. Responding to you as I chose a 2023 Lucid Air Touring Stealth model. I've been very happy but the bar was set low based upon my issues with my iPace. For the few minor things that I've had go wrong within my first year, I had two mobile service appointments. My only complaint is that the service department is not as responsive as they should be. However once you actually get an appointment, the mobile service tech's are great. There are a couple of things that the iPace had that the Lucid doesn't (e.g. kick open the trunk, head up display) but the Lucid has better range, faster, more reliable and feels more like a luxury car. Also they do regular over the air software updates, many more in one year than I had with Jaguar in five years. I think you'll be happy if you choose Lucid, but I have not checked out the Gravity to be fair.

Sorry to hear. I can identify with your sentiments to a degree. Perhaps we should start a new thread where we can chime in with what they have opted to replace with! sounds like a fun game amidst all the complaining recently.
