Hello, I just picked up a 2023 I-Pace. I created two usernames, and want to log in with InControl on both accounts in the car. I need to do this so I can enable Alexa on both user names.
The problem is, when I try to register the car on the second InControl account, I get an error saying the VIN is already associated with an existing InControl account.
I appreciate this tip. I just tried calling them, but they said there was no way to associate a VIN with two different InControl accounts.
I also asked them if that was not possible, was there some way to get Alexa under two different vehicle usernames, because when I try to log in with the same account under two names, I get an error saying I am already logged in. The customer service rep said no, there is no possible workaround at this time.
Has your experience been different? Do you have any additional information I might be able to provide if I call back?
If you want two separate users for a car, go to www.incontrol.jaguar.com and login with the account that has the car registered. Then click on vehicle settings towards the upper right. On the left side is "MANAGE USERS". Click that. Follow the instructions for inviting other email addresses to the account. You will need to follow instructions in an email sent to the invited account.
After the additional email address is added (let's say one for you and one for a significant other), each person can login to account in the car for personalized stuff.
If you want Alexa on two accounts in the car, why do you need two InControl accounts? Could you simply add another user and get the Alexa functionality for both?
