@rcomeau - what was the outcome from your issue? I had the error last friday, (after leaving an EA charger). The error had cleared when I restarted later at home (after a 80 mile cautious drive home).
I will see if I can fully charge tonight and call dealer tomorrow to get their advice.

I had this when using a high speed charger and was in the car with it powered up. I made the mistake of stopping the charge before powering off. 2 clicks if the open on the key. I then powered the car off locked it and after 15 mins all was good.

Sorry, have not visited the site in a while. No new messages since. I've done several long drives using several different DC chargers and never got that message again (did a 600km each way trip Wed-Thu) and it was solid. Back to loving the car for long drives!

Interestingly, I now have the same error message "OK to drive with caution, High Voltage System Fault Detected." This is my second time around. Noticed last week that my car charged to 98% then stopped on L2, unplugged and replugged charged to 100% just fine--odd. This week, car charged to 100% overnight no issue, but when car turned on I got the message. Not sure if this is another battery cell going bad...

Checked WattCatt: HV 79.05 kW @ 94% state of charge after driving for several miles, which seems to be about right, predicted ~84kW @ 100% SOC.
12V battery reports 13V.
TU 4.1V @ 98% SOC

Since you have a '22, check that the heater works and the AC works. Yes, heat for the cabin. If it doesn't then you have a HV heater failure. This heater is also used to heat the battery (it actually takes heat exchange from HVAC coolant to battery coolant). The AC is also used to cool the battery coolant (as well as the fan in the main heat exchanger). A failure to control the battery temperature would give that message and lead to stopping of charging. Charging to 100% could be achieved if no battery temperature management was required. AC and heater issues have been known in '22s.

Or it could be another HV component issue such as a HV battery cell.

Was able to check the HVAC at lunch. AC is cold. Heater on with warm air. Hmm...

Was able to charge to 100% from 88% last night without issue. Total battery capacity 85kW. Wife drove it this morning and didn’t see any message. Will try to discharge the battery to 25% and level up again later this week.

My hypothesis: maybe there was a surge when I was running the electric dryer, house’s HVAC, and charging the car at the same time the evening the car threw a fault (is that possible?) OR it’s the car’s cooling system and it doesn’t manifest until the battery is warm like Ayepace inferred OR a transient gremlin like Rcomeau’s experience.

UPDATE 3/21/23:
Drove I-Pace over weekend to an airshow with 100% charge. No issue. Discharged battery to 50% and charged overnight on Sunday to 100%--no issue. Dropped the kids off at school in the morning; turn car back on with 98% SOC and got the same "High Voltage Fault" message, which cleared after driving several miles. No performance loss. Decided it was best to take the car to the vet after work. Received an Evoque as a loaner...it feels weird driving an ICE, but I can't complain too much. The fit and feel is not the same as the I-Pace.

I ruled out my first hypothesis of an electrical surge from my home EVSE causing the problem. I think it's either the HVAC or another battery cell degrading. If the latter, I wonder if it would be asking too much to have the entire battery pack replaced, since this would be my second rodeo. Will keep the forum members informed.
