JLR corporate offered me KBB value for the car, which is crap. With a non-defective battery it would be worth far more, as would everyone’s 2019s, I assume.

Does anyone here have prior experience with such buybacks? I wonder what JLR’s endgame is if people refuse lowball buyback offers. If their sole “solution” is repurchase but the price they offer is absurdly low, that doesn’t seem like much of a solution to a safety recall problem IMO.
This is very interesting, thanks. Seems like there is a very reasonable complaint here... They sell a defective car and they tell us it is low value...

Do you not qualify under CA lemon law? That would be my only idea as to why corporate is giving you a crap offer. Otherwise they'd have to conform to LL.

I realize most information is speculative at this point until we hear from JLR. However, I have been reading some settlements may be coming with an NDA. Thus, we may not get any information until it is our turn.

Has anyone checked their VIN# again with NHSTA.gov? Before it stated H514 recall and remedy was buy-back….I did complete the H514 update but was assuming it would still show an open issue of buyback. Doesn’t help that JLR has provided no new updates after calling the past 3 months for buyback news.

i had h514 installed on friday. nhsta.gov now shows 0 recalls.

If you have had H514 recall completed then Jaguar has fulfilled its requirements to the NHTSA. This was a smart move by them, because they can now delay the repurchase for months because no-one is on their back to provide the final fix. Check out the Facebook Group I created, lots of good information and comments on that page. Log into Facebook or search for "Jaguar I-Pace 2019 H514 Buyback"

Just checked TOPIX and see that I have H536 entry:

You are advised to contact your local Jaguar Land Rover to arrange for the necessary rectification work.

I also have the new H536 campaign under my VIN in Tennessee. I haven't been contacted by JLR yet. I'm not going to bother contacting my dealer because I'm sure they will be clueless.

Edit: The NHTSA recall website has an August 2024 recall date for H536 for some reason.

Thanks - have the same notification through Topix. Called dealership and they told me to call JLR 😂

I called the dealer and asked to make a pre-inspection appointment for a 2019 I-Pace buyback. I have an appointment for this Thursday scheduled.
Did the dealer seem to know what is going on? Did JLR give them a process to follow? I wonder if tire condition will affect value or they just looking at overall condition of the vehicle. My vehicle is still under CPO warranty so mechanically it is good, but it is almost time for tires, and I was not about to spend $1500 on tires to go to the crusher.

I talked to the service person who confirmed with the general manager to do the inspection. The service person saw the buy-back when she looked up my car info.
I have the original Goodyear 20" tires and wheels, a set of 20" Vredestein Wintrac Pro snow tires and wheels, and another set of Goodyear (7500 miles) tires that came with the wheels that now have the snow tires mounted. After the handoff, I'll sell the tires and wheels along with the bike rack. I'll also see if I can sell the 12v battery I bought last month.

Same here
