It looks like buyback is off the table. Battery pack replacement is the remedy. Repair time 6.5 hours plus drive-in-drive-out (car wash, etc.).

H484R4 and Tech report issued yesterday still shows buy back. Battery replacement and BECM as well as new sound proofing foam.

Holy Cow! There is no wiggle room with this wording: "Affected vehicles will require a complete EV battery replacement." This is amazing news from my perspective.

Less amazing though, "A repair bulletin will be published when complete repair information is available. Target publication and parts availability are TBA."

Takata Airbag scenario over again....no ETA on parts or remediation...
At least I have been vaccinated with H441 so I hope reducing the chances of a Rapid Thermal Overload Disassembly as Space X might say )

This makes me oddly wish for H484! If I understand correctly, those of us with “only” a TBF after H441 recall will likely only have single modules replaced.

Ultimately I just hope to avoid what some others have experienced (repeated protracted service visits to have one cell after another replaced as they throw errors).

Does your car stop charging at 72% or 75%? I had the same H441 recall as well. I had a weird occurrence last night with charging so I'm a little confused about what my car is doing when it is charging. Can you share your experiences? It would be helpful for me.

“Rapid unscheduled disassembly” is one of the GOAT euphemisms. 🤣

My car will happily charge to 100% and once a few other modules were updated post H441, the range settled down to 240 miles on a complete charge (at one point I was only estimated 160 miles at 100%!). I have never (knock wood) had the error or warning on the dash telling me the car had put me into safe mode by limiting the charge capacity.

So I CAN charge to 100%. The Dirty Harry question is, as already quoted, "do I feel lucky" ? Well do I, punk ?

The action taken will be "appropriate to your market and as required by local legislation". The document filed with NHTSA that I posted back in post #185 indicates it covers US & Canada recalls and does not mention a buyback plan.

The document in your post appears to be from a JLR customer service website whereas the H484v4 document posted by Topdown500 was dated 4/15.

Numbers- 282 in the US and Canada and same number U.K. and Europe. Still a lot of batteries.

My wife will be much more disappointed if the buyback is off the table than I will, but it is her car and she’s the one who’s been stranded twice.
