Had my software update back in late July. Got a OK to drive with caution, Traction Battery Fault detected" message yesterday and it persists. Got an appointment for Nov 2. The charge went to 100% when it happened, so I'll see if it restricts charging from now on.
We had the same issue after H441 update. The dealership took the car and gave us a loner sighting October for the fix, its now November and no sign of the update. They have had the car for 2 months. We ping them weekly. I wondering how many of us have they issue? This id not he first time we have issues, we had to have the battery replaced less than 12 months old. We were without the car for 11 months then (Supply chain issues). Hope this issue does not turn out to take the same length of time

In the same boat. I had the early wiring harness, then the 12v batteries (3 trips for that and weeks driving Civics or Corollas due to critical loaner car shortages during COVID), telematics, anti-lock sensor, now tract battery. Certaily forgot others things. At least I have en Evoque in the meantime...

Two and half months later everything seems ok. I charge to 100% no issues. Hearing that some dealers did not apply the update properly is disappointing. I still keep a smoke alarm in the garage. I can do this because there are no gasoline cars at home.

Two months on H441 and everything is fine but I haven't dared to rapid charge yet. Will wait until the supply situation normalizes.

Further update. Still no battery restriction. Noticed that the car doesn’t shut down properly and posted about it separately where the hazard light doesn’t go off and i can hear the pumps running 24/7. Will probably close this post.

@JaggaWatt I hope you don't mind me chiming in on your thread...

I've had the H441 update on my '19 for a while now and only recently (with the past month) got the high voltage battery fault error message along with the charge restriction to ~70% (indicated 71 or 72%). Took it Jaguar of Seattle and they diagnosed it with a bad module for which they've ordered a replacement from JLR. No ETA on new modules, tho. What are people hearing from JLR or their dealership on when an incoming fix is supposed to happen? It's been six months now....
It is definitely an evolving story. Mine threw the error at the end of October and I brought it in early Nov. They diagnosed a faulty module and would not release the car (apparently they once released a car and it broke down the next day, needing tow or something, so they just gave me a loaner Evoque). Each event like this requires a support ticket from the engineers at JLR and each seems to be handled differently. Mine sat for 6 weeks while JLR debated whether to do a second software update (I think that was the rumour going around for a bit) but at the end of December, finally authorized the dealer to order a new module from JLR. No ETA yet. If they decided at the end of December to ditch the software update, maybe yours will skip that 6 week stop and maybe the SOP is now to order modules right away. Please report back when you get an update, but the average time seems to have been 3-4 months.

The dealership did end up releasing the car back to us. It does sound like SOP is to order modules right away, at least it is for this dealership. When I dropped my car off there was another I-Pace up on the lift with the pack removed for a module replacement --- so not for nothing, modules are being replaced in the Seattle area. Hoping that they'll have some updates for me soon. BRB gonna call JLR corporate to give them an earful.
It sounded to me that it was not up to the dealer, but the JLR tech. Maybe they now gave up on the software fix and are shipping modules quicker (at least not dithering for 6+ weeks)...

The story on my '19 is similar:

- Been at the dealer for almost 60 days, waiting on a battery module replacement, for which no ETA can or has been given.

- Have Evoque loaner, which is fine - but for the $5 per gallon gas here in CA. I',m glad I work from home and do not have to commute. I have just under 30,000 miles on the I-Pace.

- I've been disenchanted with the actual range (which seems far below the 242 the car tells me I'll get). Can't even get to and from San San Diego without having to stop and recharge.

Save for the range, I've been happy with the car - and am glad to not drive a Tesla, which are EVERYWHERE her in Orange County. It is comical how many there are.

- CA has very consumer-friendly Lemon Laws, so I have contacted an LL attorney to see if I have a winnable case. With my low millage I could recoup about 75% of my purchase price (and I had 0% financing), so that would not be a terrible deal. I've submitted a bunch of information to the attorney and am waiting to hear back on viability of the case.

In my initial conversation, the attorney indicated that the recall might not have any bearing on the "reasonable" litmus tests in the amount of time needed to fix a problem.

I got word last week that my module arrived (so 3-4 weeks after ordering the module) and they started the work Friday. I also have a steering rack being replaced so the work may take a little longer, but I have my fingers crossed that I will get it back this week. Every EV maker that used LG batteries is dealing with this in their own way. I am not sure JLR has been above or below par on this (my sister has a Bolt and they had their charging restricted for over a year and just got it lifted after a software update). I think the satisfaction (or lack thereof in many cases) comes down to the service at the dealer. Mine has been quote good so I have not been as unhappy as I might have been had the service not been there. I am still unlikely to get another JLR (they have nothing in their stable at the moment anyway as the I-Pace has not changed, so the argument is moot unless they release something compelling soon). Waiting to see what the Macan EV looks like (and costs) and wil likely look at that and the Polestar 3.

I got a phone call from Jaguar CRC letting me know that there is a safety recall on the Ipace…. I told them that I am fully aware of it but wanted to take some time to let Jaguar understand what they are doing…. I finally take my H441 appointment with Jaguar Decarie Motor on Feb 6th. @rcomeau I hope they know the drill now, thanks to you…

I’ll let you know. They are replacing the steering rack and putting winter tires on. Fingers crossed I’ll get it back this week in time to drive to Boston on Monday!

Can you refer me to the name of the attorney that you used? My car has been inb the shp since June 1st for a battery issue. I'm done
