As of last Saturday, I tell people I use to drive an I-Pace First Edition, but now I drive an I-Pace Limited Edition.

Another car to add to the long list of battery recall because of fire : Jeep 4xe. I don't know if LG is once again involved here.

I got H441 BS version bank in August. No issues with numerous L2 and L3 charging since. No outstanding recalls since then.

I took my cat to the vet last week for a cold weather camera issue. I got it back today and found, undocumented, BECM was updated to BV version.

This resets my cautious nail biting as charging reaches 72%. :( I thought I was in the clear with a good battery.

Further confirmation that "phase 2" of the update for 2019-2020 cars is now in play.
I was at the dealer two months ago and had to beg and plead to get updates from BS to BV. They had to push on JLR to allow it ahead of the planned phase 2 rollout, and it required a week just to get approval.

BV only effective if BS was not installed properly. If BS. was installed properly BV is just an update and will indicate if you have a failed module just as BS would.

Seeing as there have now been 4 revisions of the software (BS, BT, BU, BV), I suspect it's safe to assume that numerous fixes and improvements have likely been made between BS and BV.

The process has gotten a little easier for dealers. Cars that get modules identified due to H441, H459, or H471 do not need a TA opened. Dealers are instructed to use TOPIx Cloud to identify cell modules, order parts, and fix the cars. Opening a TA is only needed if they truly need technical assistance.

H484 still requires a TA to be opened only if fault code P1B48-00 is found.

This eliminates a bottle neck of opening TA and waiting for response and authorization to order parts.

Most cars remedied but still some outstanding. 5814 out of 6422 in US.

FYI. We all know Jaguar allows dealers to repair the HV traction battery when bad cell modules are detected. Taycan vehicles recalled for the battery defect require the traction battery to be removed, crated up, shipped to another company (EV Battery Solutions by Cox Automotive), repaired, shipped back and then reinstalled. EVBS determines how many to replace.
