Hi, I have one of the first i-Paces in the Nutmeg State I think, a First Edition. Looking forward to learning and sharing experiences with the community.
Turn the car off. Unplug any USB devices. Remove the SIM chipcard from the center armrest rear center. Push in, it pops out, remove. Lock car, wait, unlock. Hold brake, press ON/OFF button for at least one second ("One One Thousand"), then wait until all three (Phone then Media then NAV) wake up fully.Well as luck would have it, I was happily configuring various things in the car this afternoon, when I tried connecting it to my house Wifi cloud, and it hung Connecting - forever. I could do other things but that item was stuck. When I turned the car on next time, the infotainment and climate screens remained dark. Nothing I tried, including turning it off, locking it and waiting an hour, had any effect. It's going back to Jaguar Hartford service tomorrow morning!
Try shutting everything down, removing the SIM card and then restarting.Well as luck would have it, I was happily configuring various things in the car this afternoon, when I tried connecting it to my house Wifi cloud, and it hung Connecting - forever. It would be informative if you could enumerate the things you don't have or do .. I know, kind of nebulous .. but e.g. did you set up a profile, do you connect via Android Auto or that apple thing, etcI’ve been fortunate in having just small quirky things happen as I do not follow the whole slow boot sequence. I get in the car and go, just as I do with any other car.

Yes I have a smart settings profile set up, but the car only seems to load it about 7 out of 10 starts. There doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason when things work or not. I may or may joy have my phone plugged in, I may or may not ‘delay’ my driving after pressing the start button, tc. Seems to be completely random. I can physically start the smart profile by stopping and selecting it, but I shouldn’t have to do that. Also the ‘learning’ function appears to be strictly a function of some imagination as it never starts my seats or steering wheel heat or does any adjustments to my music. It would be informative if you could enumerate the things you don't have or do .. While driving the I-Pace at the Jaguar Electrifies Experience this past weekend, I brought up the “black screen” issue with the Jag rep. He said one thing he has done that works is to turn off the car, lock the door and then move yourself and the key fob at least 30 feet away from the vehicle (for 30 seconds, or more). His thinking is/was that while near the vehicle, there is some sort of coomunication glitch between the fob and the car. So, by shutting things down and moving the fob a decent distance away, the communications link is broken and then resets once you start things up again. He said the “black out” issue did not happen very often with the various prototypes he had driven. But,on the few occasions that it did, everything worked fine after he went through the suggested steps.Turn the car off. Unplug any USB devices. Any luck?
