First Spontaneous i-Pace Fire?

I couldn't post in news forum (admin only), but thought others may want to read this. Hopefully an extraordinary occurrence but unsettling nonetheless. Glad it was parked outside!

That's been covered on the UK forum. Definitely not a battery fire. Most likely arson, as there have been car fires in the neighborhood.

How dare an electric car burn down when its set on fire? Those darn unsafe electrons, I'd MUCH rather have a volatile chemicals optimally chosen to explode in high heat and in presence of oxygen....
So by the picture the battery seems to have failed to burn or ignite at all. Just burned all the plastic under the bonnet.
All EVs disconnect the traction battery when parked. If that WERE an electrical fire it was 12v which is completely fused since there is no starter motor or alternator.
Jaguar would have had to majorly screwed the pooch to end up with a 12v electrical fire UNLESS there is unfused or badly wired aftermarket accessories.
I would advise the site administrators to change the name of this thread so as not to give a false impression to the casual reader.
