I should have close my mouth on that day. Yesterday, I was not able to start up the car, hybrid battery problem, brake problem, etc... all sort of known problems. I checked the 12v batteries. Only 3v on the small one. I tried to trickle charge it for a couple of hours. It went up to 12v, but did not fix my problem. I think this one is dead now. I need to replace it. Anyone found an Exide EK151 on this side of the pound ?The man loves to live dangerously!
That would be fair....Nice! Given the excellent outcome I can poke fun at you now
"Still on my original 12v battery on my Oct 2018 model …. And by the way, I still have my original 12v battery on my 2014 Leaf as well."
In my case, no sign of failure. The day before the car was working nicely. I only had 1 warning a month ago about "break pedal feel reduce..." , only once, the warring cleared by itself on the next startup. I am out of warranty, so I did not want to call Jaguar, wait for towing, wait for the car, etc... I managed to buy the battery and install it myself. Way more efficient. I was able to call a few dealer to locate a battery in the neighbourhood, drive with my second car over there, buy the battery and install it in half a day.In my previous post I ststed that there was a warning before the 12 V battery failures. However, neither warning stated that it was the 12V battery that was about to fail. One was a traction battery fault. The other was a non-specific warning about the electronics failing.
