Anyone tried this product - is it any good?

I bought it, but didn't like it, no longer remember why (it was a couple of years back). My wife uses an iPhone and I don't and, I expect, that was at least part of the problem (she rarely drives the I-Pace, its my primary).

I don't get why people want to charge a phone in the car (maybe on a road trip). I charge my phone every night , at home, at the phone can last a full day. The phone always stays in my pocket, and now with the wireless carplay dongle, I can even have Carplay without pulling my phone out of my pocket.

For me, I can't use wireless CarPlay and the car's WiFi at the same time and the in-car WiFi is useful for the trip to the coast where the car's antennae keeps a signal in the dead zones but my phone can't on its own.

Also, my commute maintains the phone charge so I rarely need plug it in otherwise.

Finally, it helps keep my wife from looking at her phone while driving which gives me peace of mind.

Different strokes for different folks.

It is easier and less expensive to buy a wireless charging pad and plug it into one of the USB ports down there in the front of the console. My phone still gets a strong 5G signal while down in that storage spot. Unfortunately, like your phone, it does not remind me to take it along when I get out.
