Encore specialist?

Curious - has anyone found the encore specialist to be helpful with their Ipace. They have now cancelled twice on me (one right at the appointment time, and another no show). Between all the posts on the forum and just playing with the car, I think im getting the hang of things at this point (had the car for about 10 days now). Although, I thought it would be nice to have a formal contact with Jag when there was an issue or question.
I know its included, but now its just annoying.
Just curious from the perspective on anyone who has done it, before I tell my dealer to stop wasting my time. Thanks.

While I did learn a few things, I think I gave mine a few more tips and questions to go find out than he answered for me. :grin2: I suspect many on this forum are more inclined to take an active role in their self-education and less likely to benefit from the Encore specialist, who (for most dealers) has only delivered a small handful of I-Paces. The combination of being a brand new model, and that 'early adopter' I-Pace buyers as a group are not your "typical Jag customer" likely minimizes the benefit of the Encore Specialist. After a week with the car, I'd pass unless I really felt "lost", which I doubt characterizes you.

Encore specialist experience

Encore specialist met with me 2 weeks after delivery and although I felt I had a pretty good handle on the features, he was excellent. Well worth the 80+ minutes I spent with him. He obviously cared about his service. I asked a couple of questions he needed to research but I also felt more comfortable I was on right track with settings and general expectations. Good luck. Great car to drive.

Since the I-Pace was my first Jag it was somewhat beneficial to learn general Jag items, but as far as educating me on the I-Pace it was not good. I learned most through online research, reading the manual, and messing around myself. Most of the JLR employees I've met do not know much about the car. I've even met 1:1 with the one tech certified to work on the I-Pace at the dealership I purchased from and he explained how JLR was doing a poor job on training and resources. Said they didn't even have the right tools to do diagnostic work on the car.
