You can't.Has anyone found a way to disable the backup beeper?
If so, please advise how you did it.
As Bruintoo says, you can't.You can't.
So is it just me who doesn't hear this with my neighbor's Tesla S?As Bruintoo says, you can't.
It's a legal mandate for EVs. You likely void all of your warranty if you figure out a way to disable it, as they'll claim you tampered with both the electronics and safety systems.
Tesla uses a nicer, more subtle sound, I believe. JLR didn't have to go with the obnoxious beeping. It's just required to have noise to a certain decibel level at slow speeds & reverse but altering it while under warranty would not be a good idea.So is it just me who doesn't hear this with my neighbor's Tesla S?
Do you think it's obnoxious? I don't think it's so bad ... (I wasn't being sarcastic above)JLR didn't have to go with the obnoxious beeping.
Tesla only very recently added external noisemakers, so the vast majority of them on the road do not make any additional noise. So is it just me who doesn't hear this with my neighbor's Tesla S?
