Has anyone found a way to disable the backup beeper?
If so, please advise how you did it.

As Bruintoo says, you can't.

It's a legal mandate for EVs. You likely void all of your warranty if you figure out a way to disable it, as they'll claim you tampered with both the electronics and safety systems.
So is it just me who doesn't hear this with my neighbor's Tesla S?

Tesla uses a nicer, more subtle sound, I believe. JLR didn't have to go with the obnoxious beeping. It's just required to have noise to a certain decibel level at slow speeds & reverse but altering it while under warranty would not be a good idea.

So weird...I like it. It is a piece of mind that hopefully a kid or pedestrian will know I am backing up. I think Jaguar went with the familiar beeping, as this sound is recognized, albeit it softer and gentler, as what work trucks sound like when reversing.

Sorry y'all hate the reverse beep...I love it :) LOL

Jaguar is a lot more risk adverse compared to Tesla.
IMO the sound is unique and wouldn't consider it obnoxious

According to wikipedia:

"The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued its final ruling in February 2018, and requires the device to emit warning sounds at speeds less than 18.6 mph (30 km/h) with compliance by September 2020, but 50% of "quiet" vehicles must have the warning sounds by September 2019."

I would imagine that's the reason Tesla has begun adding it
