A lot of the EV models out there are using large touchscreens instead of the usual center cluster of knobs and buttons, probably thanks to teh trend Tesla set. Maybe Jaguar will stay close to the concept's interior and give us a wide infotainment screen and digital gauge screen. A lot better than that extremely long one in the Tesla and it looks a lot cleaner with just two knobs and minimal buttons.

Well, if you really want to look back in history, cars from the 80's that had digital dash setups are what you can say started it all.
These days what we see from Tesla is just yet part of another trend in the automotive industry, a new norm as I like to call it.

With aspirations of self driving cars these systems are part of it, you can get as intuitive of a setup with analog clusters.

RR's new Velar is a clear indication of JLR's intent for future production...

Everything is seamlessly integrated although the passenger side part of the dash looks a bit detached from the rest of the front with how wide that space between it and the infotainment screen is. Otherwise, everything looks perfect and I'd be more than happy to see the concept interior make its way into the production model.

I can see what you're talking about, if that wood trim panel made it's way across, it could have looked more "one unit" and complete type of thing. Not too sure how I feel about it just yet though. Would have to see it up close before making a proper judgement.

The dash material certainly doesn't help either, but this is just the concept model and we could see a a more toned down interior like the F-Pace, without that pull out desk. Just need a spy photographer to get close enough to the prototype to see the inside.
