ChargePoint vs others in cold temp

2942 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  McRat
Just ordered a HSE up north here in Canada, Québec where temperature can drop down as low as -20’C.

As I will be charging from home, I need to look up my options:
JLR seems to recommend ChargePoint. It is supposedly operable down to -40’C. Any of you have used this option in colder regions.

Other Québecers also recommande the Flo X5 unit, maybe better designed for our cold winters. (Flo.ca)

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Welcome. EVSE's only have icing troubles. For long life in outdoors condition, I suggest a cover. I use a 1/4 dome shield over the body of the charger. Indoors, no problems.
