First time this has happened. Drove into my garage. Tried to insert charger and found the locking pin was still lowered so couldn't put the charger plug in. Car was unlocked. Charger door unlocked obviously. Had to lock/unlock multiple times, unlock button twice a couple times...finally it retracted. Seems to have sorted itself out. Mechanical malfunction or transient electrical/software thing like screens not booting up? Maybe I should lubricate the locking pin area - first time I've seen the mechanism - I guess normally it wouldn't be visible.

Keep an eye on this issue. There have been many that have had the actuator fail that controls the locking pin. However, this is the first time I recall the pin not retracting properly. Usually it gets stuck in the "up" position and results in the inability to charge. Hope this was just an anomaly.

Thx. Found 1 other post about this on the British forum. Reminded me about the manual release that's available. Everything working this morning.
