Can anyone on this forum tell be how I can get copies of any Battery State of Health Test results performed on my 2019 First Edition? The dealer's Service Manager said that the dealership doesn't get copies and only knows what is on the screen when connected after which everything is purged. I called the number he provided for JLRNA and was told that she couldn't help other than to refer me back to the Dealers Warranty Administrator. Message left but no call back.

Is this a variation on the John Cleese and Graham Chapman skit involving a dead Parrot or does anyone know whether I can get copies of my previous report?
Lots of difficulty with the dealership which mad me pay for the H441 service as being outside warranty!

Called two of my nearest dealers. Booked a diagnosis at both places. Closest one is March 7th. Original dealer refused a courtesy car because the car is usable for the duration of this problem when it’s not in the shop.

Jaguar customer support asked to call them if I’m every left immobile and they’ll arrange a courtesy car. Making some polite noises works.

I left my car with the dealership in Santa Monica to diagnose the "traction battery fault" amber warning. After a few days, they reported that one of the 36 battery modules needs to be replaced. The service manager told me I could drive the car while waiting for parts, but I should keep it outside, which I took to mean that there is a chance it would catch fire. I didn't want to drive a car that might catch fire (even outside), so I told her that I didn't think it would be feasible to keep the car outside. Then she rented me a 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge (BEV), which I am still driving over two weeks later. It's a very good stand-in for the I-Pace, so I am just waiting patiently for my car to get fixed. She also told me that they would charge my I-Pace to 100% before returning it to me, which should cause the recall software to detect any other faulty cells, if there are any.

For once a dealership that seems to get that customers need/want a comparable vehicle as a loaner.

Regarding the risk of catching fire, the risks after getting the H441 fault warning, and the charging restrictions, are probably much less than the risks you took over the past few weeks charging to 100%. I assume you acknowledged the warnings to only charge away from building and other cars during this time - as detailed in the recall?

Furthermore, note that the faulty modules are not immediately detected by the H441 software update upon the first charge - otherwise you, and many others, would be further along in the process. In my case the warning only appeared during the fifth charge to 100% after the software install. My module was replaced in early January, and I've just completed my fifth charge to 100% since getting it back with no further problems - but I won't be 100% worry free until I've done a few more charges.

Hello, I haven't been on this forum for quite a while but now I guess I need some advice. So I did get the software upgrade regarding the faulty battery detection H441...last year in August. Now up until recently I tried to charge if I had to not more than 85%. But recently I had to charge at least 5 times completely up. Now yesterday after the full charge, I went to work and so forth. Afternoon I started it up and the dreaded error message on the dashboard came on " Drive with caution, Traction battery fault detected"
Does this mean I have a faulty battery pack? If so, I would need to replace it I presume....my car just went out of warranty.

Charging up to 100% allows the H441-software to better test the pack for these anomalies (not charging it simply allows the flaw to hide longer, but you can't hide forever I suppose). The battery issue is a recall, so the warranty issue is moot in that the battery module replacement is free regardless of the warranty status (end even then, the battery warranty is longer than the car warranty, so I don't think any I-Pace is ou of battery warranty anyway). If your car is not part of the more specific H484 recall (where they specifically replace the entire battery pack), you need to get the car examine at JLR and they will find the faulty module (s), order a replacement module and replace it when the part arrives. Many of us have had 2 modules replaced (anyone with more than 2?) so the dealers are getting better and faster at it.
