Technician has confirmed that it’s to go back for a repair. I can keep the car in use till they organise parts.

couldn’t be the 12V battery’s fault? How do I change it while under warranty? What does it cost?

The problem is what many (most?) of us have experienced. There is a manufacturing issue with the tract batteries that can cause a rare fire risk. There was a software update over the summer which helps detect affected cells and when they find something, yo get th traction battery error and charing will be limited to 73%. You got higher because it got there once when it detected the issue and when you attempt to charge the battery when it is above 73%, it wil simply stay to os fully charged. If you drive it down below 73%, it will remain at or below 73% until the battery is repaired. Many of us had to leave the car and driver a loaner and the process has taken between 2-3 months from diagnosis to parts ordering to repair.

If this is so common they should simply order a whole bunch and keep them around. Made to order is such a disruptive way of running a business

my beef is that they had my car last month for 10 days for a hvac replacement and didn’t apply H441 to test the batteries back then. That would have sped up the process much further.

The dealers aren’t helping the brand either. I suspect Jaguar will go to the direct sales model.

Can anyone on this forum tell be how I can get copies of any Battery State of Health Test results performed on my 2019 First Edition? The dealer's Service Manager said that the dealership doesn't get copies and only knows what is on the screen when connected after which everything is purged. I called the number he provided for JLRNA and was told that she couldn't help other than to refer me back to the Dealers Warranty Administrator. Message left but no call back.

Is this a variation on the John Cleese and Graham Chapman skit involving a dead Parrot or does anyone know whether I can get copies of my previous report?
Lots of difficulty with the dealership which mad me pay for the H441 service as being outside warranty!

The warning that results from the H441 software update is not an instantaneous response, but results from an analysis of the charging/battery parameters reported by the car during charging.

In my case, the H441 update was performed on Aug 10th, but it took the fifth charging session (all going to 100%, until the fifth was stopped at 72%) in mid September to register a fault.

Regarding the logistics of these repairs, the parts are in short supply worldwide. Stockpiling, just in case, will only make the supply tighter and folks like you even more impatient.

My replacement module arrived in early January, after waiting almost 4months. This seems about standard for those reporting these issues on this forum, and I believe a few are still waiting.

That doesn't seem right. H441 was a recall. Aren't recalls always free to the consumer? Someone set me straight if that's not correct.
The customer letter very specifically states that the battery cell module/assembly will be replaced at no cost to the owner.

Called two of my nearest dealers. Booked a diagnosis at both places. Closest one is March 7th. Original dealer refused a courtesy car because the car is usable for the duration of this problem when it’s not in the shop.

Jaguar customer support asked to call them if I’m every left immobile and they’ll arrange a courtesy car. Making some polite noises works.
